As winter gave way to spring, the snow and wind that had blanketed Heavenly Green Mountain finally dispersed. The temperature gradually rose, and the weather slowly grew hotter.
This year, Dongshu turned seven.
After bidding Dongshu farewell, Ho-Oh, Suicune, and the others left Heavenly Green Mountain.
Before leaving, Ho-Oh took Dongshu to the human world once more and helped him obtain some Shock Points.
Dongshu used those Shock Points to raise Raikou's level to Lv100 as well.
Raikou was both shocked and moved by this.
Overwhelmed by all kinds of emotions, he said to Fire Emperor:
"Last autumn and winter, you were the one who stayed here. Now it's my turn to stay and take care of Little One!"
Fire Emperor: "..."
He glanced at Little One beside him. Though he was quite reluctant, Fire Emperor knew that it was indeed Raikou's turn to remain on Heavenly Green Mountain.
"I'll leave Little One in your care," Fire Emperor said.
"Hmph." Raikou used his paw to pull Dongshu over to his side. "You don't need to worry about that."
Fire Emperor was already used to Raikou's behavior. Raikou ignored Fire Emperor, instead looking at Dongshu and saying, "Don't run around. Stay on Heavenly Green Mountain and wait for me to return, understand?"
Dongshu nodded repeatedly. "Mm!"
Fire Emperor turned to look at Raikou and reminded him, "Take good care of Little One."
With that, Fire Emperor turned and left. Heavenly Green Mountain was suddenly left with only Dongshu, Raikou, and Marshadow.
Only then did Raikou let out a long sigh of relief. That annoying guy had finally left.
He brought Dongshu back home and lay down beside him, serving as a cushion.
With several Pokémon gone, the house suddenly felt very deserted.
