In his rage, Ye Yun flew directly above the courtyard. However, once he reached that height, he felt a pang of regret. It wasn't regret for his recklessness, but for not bringing a weapon. Yet, when he spotted the weapon rack in the training grounds not far away, he chuckled.
Ye Yun stood calmly in the air, continuously forming hand seals. As he did, the weapons in the nearby training grounds began to fly up and attack the closest people. In the blink of an eye, seven or eight individuals were killed on the spot by this sudden assault. Those who narrowly avoided the attack didn't try to fight back; instead, they dropped their weapons and fled. But how could they outrun the weapons Ye Yun controlled? Ultimately, they couldn't escape death.
Watching the people he had killed below, Ye Yun's face was somewhat pale, but he didn't stop. Their actions were deserving of death ten times over. He was merely carrying out justice, eliminating scum and beasts.
The screams from outside finally woke Boss Chen, who had been peacefully cultivating in his room. Carrying a long sword, he pushed open his door and stepped out. The scene before him made his pupils contract.
Most of his elite subordinates, whom he had placed so much hope in, were already lying in pools of blood. Only a few were still stubbornly resisting, using the terrain to their advantage. However, judging by the terrified expressions on their faces, it was clear they wouldn't last long. Their opponents were weapons dancing in the air.
Though shocked, Boss Chen wasn't surprised by this sight. He had previously had the good fortune to be by his boss's side and meet an extraordinary person. This individual, said to be an immortal cultivator, appeared to be only in his thirties but was actually over a hundred years old. Most incredibly, he could make magic treasures fly freely in the air, controlling them as if they were extensions of his own body even when they left his hands. This meant it wasn't a ghost at work, but a cultivator attacking them.
With this thought, Boss Chen dared not delay and looked up into the sky.
As expected, Boss Chen found the cultivator above them. What surprised Boss Chen was that the cultivator looked no older than thirteen or fourteen. But now was not the time to dwell on such things. If he didn't stop the opponent quickly, not only his subordinates but even he himself would be unable to escape death. His boss had told him that ordinary people like them were like ants in the eyes of cultivators; they didn't need a reason to kill you.
"Esteemed Immortal Elder, please show mercy! May I ask what offense we have committed to anger you so greatly? Please grant us an opportunity to atone for our sins."
"How did you anger me?" Ye Yun laughed heartily.
"You don't understand? You'll know when you get to hell. However, killing you like this is too easy. I'll deal with the others first, then I'll have my way with you." As he spoke, Ye Yun didn't stop his actions. People continued to fall with cries of agony. Boss Chen seemed to recall something, his face instantly turning ashen, and he collapsed to the ground. He understood his life was over.
After a while, Boss Chen's lifeless eyes, still slumped on the ground, suddenly lit up. Disregarding his dignity, he scrambled back into his bedroom and frantically dug under the bed. He lifted a hidden compartment and, with great effort, pulled out a fist-sized piece of metal, dark yellow all over. He then scrambled back to the doorway, placed the metal on the ground, and knelt before it, shouting in terror, "Esteemed Immortal Elder, this is Meteorite Copper that I chanced upon. I offer it to you now, and I beg you to spare my life!"
Boss Chen knew this was his last hope. He understood that escaping from a flying cultivator was impossible, and running was meaningless. Thus, this Meteorite Copper became his final lifeline. As far as he knew, cultivators loved such items, and as long as the cultivator accepted the Meteorite Copper, they generally wouldn't attack him further. In the eyes of these cultivators, Meteorite Copper was worth far more than his life.
Ye Yun saw all of Boss Chen's actions but paid them no mind. Although his purpose for coming here was the Meteorite Copper, something else was more important now: eradicating these scumbags. The Meteorite Copper was right there; it wasn't going to run away, so there was no need to rush.
After eliminating the last scumbag wielding a weapon in the manor, Ye Yun lightly landed in front of Boss Chen, who was kneeling at the doorway, trembling like a leaf. Without even glancing at Boss Chen, Ye Yun waved his left hand, summoning the Meteorite Copper. After assessing its quality, he waved his hand again, and Boss Chen, still kneeling, flew up in terror.
Floating in mid-air, Boss Chen felt a measure of relief upon seeing that Ye Yun didn't intend to kill him. However, his face turned pale when he saw their direction of travel and he began to struggle and beg, pleading with Ye Yun to let him go. Ye Yun remained unmoved, steadfastly leading him toward a particular room.
By the time Ye Yun brought Boss Chen to the door of that room, Boss Chen's pants were soaked. He had understood Ye Yun's intentions when Ye Yun led him this way, and it was precisely because he understood that he was so terrified. He knew best what he had done during this time. Every woman in that room wished they could eat his flesh. If he fell into their hands, he would undoubtedly die a gruesome death.
"Esteemed Immortal Elder, I beg you, for the sake of this Meteorite Copper, kill me! Don't hand me over to them! I know I was wrong, Immortal Elder, I know I was wrong! Please, grant me a quick death!" Boss Chen had completely given up hope of surviving. Now, he only begged Ye Yun for a swift end.
"Grant you a quick death?" Ye Yun sneered. "When those women inside pleaded with you, did you consider letting them go? No, you didn't. Since you didn't spare them, why should I spare you?"
"Buddhism teaches to lay down your butcher's knife and become a Buddha instantly. Confucianism speaks of repaying grievances with kindness. But I am a petty person; I believe in repaying grievances with straightness, an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. So now, I invite you to die." With that, Ye Yun pushed open the room door.
Upon opening the door, Ye Yun first saw Gu Dahai, holding a steel saber. Gu Dahai had done an excellent job of following his instructions. All the women in the room had put on clothes and were huddled behind Gu Dahai. Seeing Ye Yun enter, Gu Dahai visibly relaxed. The women behind him, however, saw Boss Chen next to Ye Yun and exploded. Several women's eyes instantly turned red, and if not for those restraining them, they would have charged forward.
Seeing this, Ye Yun gave Gu Dahai a look. Gu Dahai, being sharp-witted, walked out with his steel saber. The women became visibly flustered when Gu Dahai left, as they didn't know Ye Yun well. However, Ye Yun's next words dispelled their concerns.
"I am here to save you. I know you must be filled with rage right now. I'll leave this person to you. I hope this will bring you some solace." As Ye Yun spoke, he patted Boss Chen's back, sending him forward to the group of women, and then turned to leave. That palm strike had severed all of Boss Chen's meridians. He was now a cripple, with the strength of a normal seven or eight-year-old child, utterly incapable of causing any trouble.
