This Alien was the Queen! And she was absolutely much larger than the Queen in the movie, a colossal monster with a huge, horrifying body. Even standing still, she was terrifying enough—let alone with her looming right in front of them!
The Queen was incredibly fast. In the blink of an eye, her tail had sent Zheng Zha flying. With a deafening bang, he crashed down more than ten meters away. Only then did everyone come to their senses, but they were already standing right beneath the Queen's jaws, with nowhere to dodge.
Zero Point reacted the fastest. As Zheng Zha was knocked away, he suddenly rolled toward the Queen's side. While rolling, he raised his Submachine gun and unleashed a burst at her head. The bullets struck the Queen's shell, only to bounce straight off. They even sparked against it, showing just how hard her shell was.
Fortunately, Zero Point's aim was good enough. A few bullets struck the huge tongue protruding from the Queen's mouth. With several muffled pops, yellow blood splattered from her tongue, and the Queen let out a furious shriek. She turned and swiped at Zero Point with one claw. He narrowly avoided it by ducking and rolling forward at the last possible moment, but the swipe still tore a long gash across his back. Blood immediately gushed from the wound.
Chu Xuan was the second to react. His usually calm eyes suddenly turned sharp. Gripping two heavy pistols, he charged straight at the Queen. When he was several meters away, his bullets struck her tongue with deadly accuracy. Shot after shot hit their mark. With several sharp pops, he actually blasted the tip of the Queen's tongue to pieces.
The Queen's shriek grew even louder. Her tail lashed out suddenly, and Chu Xuan didn't even have time to react before it struck his left shoulder, flinging him more than ten meters away. He slammed into a cargo container with a thunderous crash, his whole body crushed against its steel surface. The force of the blow was unimaginable.
Zero Point never stopped firing his Submachine gun. The rapid shots hammered at the Queen from head to toe as he darted around her side, doing his best to avoid her tongue and tail. But no matter how fast he was, he couldn't outrun the gigantic Alien Queen. The enormous monster suddenly turned. As Zero Point tried to roll away, her claw clamped onto his left shoulder. Almost at the same moment, her huge tongue shot toward him. It grazed his head and slammed into his right shoulder—not that it could be called merely striking it. His right shoulder was smashed to pieces and vanished completely.
"Ah!"
Zero Point screamed, blood pouring from his mouth. The Queen's tongue had also torn away a small part of his lung, so every breath he took came out as blood. By some cruel stroke of luck, the Queen's tongue hadn't killed him outright. Instead, she began sucking at the flesh on his right shoulder.
Zhan Lan didn't react until Zero Point screamed. Her hands trembling, she gripped the Desert Eagle, then began pulling the trigger recklessly. The weapon had unlimited ammunition anyway. The others heard only the booming reports of the gunshots. The Desert Eagle's powerful rounds actually cracked the Queen's shell. They didn't seem to do much damage, but after a continuous volley, more than ten small dents had appeared across her body.
The Queen suddenly flung Zero Point aside and turned to face Zhan Lan and Zhang Jie. Then a tremendous roar erupted from her jaws.
Zheng Zha was still alive. Though the Queen's tail had struck him before he could react, his body was far stronger than an ordinary person's, more resilient and tougher as well. Her tail had ripped open his entire abdomen and torn his intestines in half, but it hadn't cut him in two. That was a blessing in the midst of disaster.
After Zheng Zha hit the ground, his body went rigid. Apart from the pain, he couldn't move at all. He could only stare at the Queen as she fought. He watched Zero Point risk his life to attack, then saw Chu Xuan sent flying, with his fate unknown. Then he saw the Queen crush Zero Point's right shoulder. Now she was looking toward Zhan Lan and Zhang Jie. He grew more and more frantic, and as he continued losing blood from his severed intestines, his mind slowly began to cloud.
I'm going to die. I'm going to die. I'm going to die... I'm about to die! No, I can't die here. I want to live. I want to make it back to the real world alive. I want to go back with Loli. No matter what, no matter what it takes, I have to survive... I don't want to die!
Zheng Zha felt that sensation of unlocking something inside him return. A flood of information surged into his mind: how long he could survive in his grievously wounded, bloodless state; how to regain his combat strength as quickly as possible; how to briefly use the Vampire energy in his mind; and, above all, how to stay alive!
"Ah!!!"
Zheng Zha suddenly sprang to his feet. Instinctively, he directed the Vampire energy in his mind throughout his body, greatly boosting his vitality for a short time. He grabbed his intestines and tied them into several knots, bundling the severed sections together so they wouldn't interfere with his movements. The pain was beyond anything an ordinary person could imagine, yet at that moment it felt like a stimulant. The agony kept him alert.
The Queen was charging at Zhan Lan and Zhang Jie, her huge claw sweeping down at them from above. Zhang Jie reacted fastest. He knocked Zhan Lan to the ground, and the two of them rolled away. But even Zhang Jie couldn't move faster than the Queen. Zhan Lan managed to roll clear, but Zhang Jie had barely made it halfway through his roll when the Queen lifted him off the ground. Her claw pierced straight through his left chest. He spat out several mouthfuls of blood. It was impossible to tell whether his heart had been injured, but either way, he was already at death's door.
Zheng Zha's eyes turned bloodshot. He pulled the Spiral Thorn bomb from his back and charged toward them with a shout, moving at a terrifying speed. Each stride carried him several meters. As he neared the Queen, he leaped into the air, soaring more than three meters high. He bit open the bomb's clasp, then drove the Spiral Thorn deep into the Queen's waist. At the same time, her claw struck him and sent him flying.
A thunderous explosion! The Queen's wail rang out alongside the blast. A huge chunk had been blown out of the colossal monster's waist.
