After merging with the Shipborne Kindling, the warship itself underwent a fundamental transformation, becoming the carrier for all its Shipborne Modules and gaining properties of its own.

The former were functional modules found on every Kindling Warship. A standard Kindling Warship was guaranteed to have these five major modules.

A Kindling Warship without all five standard modules was like a cripple, a disabled person. Its combat strength would be greatly diminished.

The four secondary cannons aboard the War Axe were not among the Shipborne Modules covered by the Shipborne Kindling.

They were external equipment included under the category of hull structure, and their growth through enhancement was tied to the hull structure.

Other similar equipment included the ship's tractor beam generator, gravity-generation equipment, life-support systems, and so on.

This equipment was integrated into the hull structure. As the hull structure's enhancement level rose, the performance of the corresponding equipment improved as well.

That was why upgrading and enhancing the hull structure required far more resources than ordinary Shipborne Modules.

A regular green-quality Shipborne Module required two hundred units of Source Points to upgrade. For the hull structure module, the cost jumped tenfold!

A regular green-quality Shipborne Module usually needed common minerals to upgrade. The hull structure module, by contrast, leaped straight to a rare mineral like "titanium crystal."

Next came the auxiliary modules.

The War Axe currently had three auxiliary modules: the Flying Colt Warp Device, the Quantum Entanglement Brainwave Control System, and the Mirage System.

Together, they filled all three of the War Axe's "auxiliary module slots."

The Quantum Entanglement Brainwave Control System and the Mirage System came from the Jin Family's own resources.

The remaining module, the Flying Colt Warp Device, was an artifact of the Otherworldly Civilization. Yuan Shu had obtained it by chance while exploring a mysterious ruin on an "Otherworldly Battlefield."

All this was recorded in the Captain's Log Yuan Shu had left behind.

This meant that these three Shipborne Modules had no quality rating and were considered inferior.

The main cannon, armor, and hull structure modules, on the other hand, were marked in green.

That meant these three Shipborne Modules were green-quality, also known as fine-quality.

Their quality was one grade above inferior.

In practical terms, they performed somewhat better, and when upgraded with Source Points, their improvements were also greater than those of inferior Shipborne Modules.

In Wang Dong's eyes, all six of these standard modules were unremarkable.

The main reason Wang Dong valued the War Axe so highly was those three auxiliary modules.

First was the Quantum Entanglement Brainwave Control System.

Although it was only green-quality, this module was quite useful.

Above no quality came green quality, fine quality.

Above green came blue quality, premium quality.

Above that came purple quality, rare quality.

Only after rare quality came gold quality, Heroic quality.

In other words, gold-quality Shipborne Modules were the cornerstone of the path to becoming a hero.

Every gold-quality Shipborne Module represented a qualitative leap for a Kindling Warship.

And in Wang Dong's view, the Mirage System was among the finest gold-quality Shipborne Modules.

Its operating principle was unknown. It was a typical creation of a civilization from the mysterious side.

Once activated, the entire warship entered a concealed state.

This concealment was exceptionally effective. The sky-scanning radars on ordinary warships could not detect its whereabouts at all.

More importantly, the Mirage System's concealment had a high priority and was difficult to disrupt.

According to its description, the final "60" meant that sky-scanning radars with a detection precision below 60 could not detect this concealment effect.
