There were more than two thousand warships. That number was staggering.

They had reached the point where sheer numbers could bring down an elephant.

But Wang Dong wasn't worried. They were only a Tier 1 Interstellar Civilization.

Their warships were even weaker than unenhanced, plain Kindling Warships.

What's more, compared to plain Kindling Warships carrying only five standard modules of no quality, War Axe was superior in both Shipborne Module quality and enhancement level.

In armor, firepower, and speed, these Tier 1 civilization warships were all far inferior to War Axe.

As long as Wang Dong didn't do anything stupid, like insist on meeting their numbers head-on in a fleet battle, he wouldn't die here.

More importantly, warships of a Tier 1 Interstellar Civilization generally weren't equipped with energy shields. That was another major advantage of Kindling Warships.

Their main guns couldn't penetrate War Axe's energy shields or inflict meaningful damage on its armor.

All he had to do was avoid getting surrounded and swarmed.

"Tier 1 civilization. Hahaha."

Wang Dong laughed heartily. His luck was good.

Normally, the enemies a Kindling Warship encountered on an Otherworldly Space battlefield weren't all Tier 1 Interstellar Civilizations.

Instead, they depended on the warship's rating.

When a Kindling Warship's overall combat rating was below LV.5, most of the enemies it encountered on an Otherworldly Space battlefield were Tier 1 Interstellar Civilizations, with only a small chance of encountering a Tier 2 Interstellar Civilization.

Once a Kindling Warship's overall combat rating exceeded LV.5, the odds of encountering a Tier 1 or Tier 2 Interstellar Civilization shifted to two-to-eight.

In other words, encountering a Tier 1 Interstellar Civilization became unlikely, while encountering a Tier 2 Interstellar Civilization became more likely.

After a warship passed LV.10, it basically wouldn't encounter Tier 1 Interstellar Civilizations at all.

That was why people jokingly called anything below LV.5 the beginner period for Kindling Warships.

War Axe's current overall combat rating was LV.6, so it was more likely to encounter a Tier 2 Interstellar Civilization.

The warships of a Tier 2 Interstellar Civilization were clearly more powerful than those of a Tier 1 Interstellar Civilization.

Direct combat wasn't War Axe's strength. Its five standard modules were all fairly ordinary.

The main reason its overall combat rating was so high was the gold-quality Mirage System.

Against a Tier 1 Interstellar Civilization, Wang Dong could bully them without worry.

Against a Tier 2 Interstellar Civilization, War Axe would struggle.

Another factor was the number of opponents in this Otherworldly Space battlefield.

"My luck this time is much better than it was in my first Otherworldly Space battlefield before I was reborn.

"The battlefield I entered last time was a pioneer fleet from a Tier 1 Interstellar Civilization. There were only a little over a hundred ships, and I got just a few dozen Source Points—not even enough to fill the gaps between my teeth."

Under normal circumstances, sinking a warship from a Tier 1 Interstellar Civilization earned about one Source Point.

Unfortunately, War Axe was a third-generation ship, and its Source Point acquisition rate was only twenty-five percent. That meant each warship from a Tier 1 Interstellar Civilization yielded only 0.25 Source Points.

A little over a hundred warships amounted to fewer than 50 Source Points. It really wasn't much.

This time, Wang Dong had appeared directly inside the home star system of a Tier 1 Interstellar Civilization. The rewards were easy to imagine.

An unfamiliar warship like War Axe had suddenly appeared in this prosperous star system, yet it hadn't caused the slightest stir.

Several fleets cruising through the distant reaches of the system showed no signs of reacting either.

More than ten minutes passed after War Axe appeared, and the civilization still hadn't responded.

It wasn't because of any technological shortcomings.

Every civilization covered its home star system and the space around it with surveillance equipment. That was the most basic form of self-protection.

What's more, this civilization had already developed the ability to turn planets into fortresses, and had put that ability into practice.

Clearly, they weren't some foolish, naïve civilization with no sense of vigilance.

A civilization like that usually didn't survive three chapters in the universe.

So the reason they still hadn't detected War Axe was obvious.

Wang Dong smiled faintly. "The Mirage System!"

Before entering the "Otherworldly Space battlefield," War Axe had been concealed by the Mirage System.

Clearly, the Mirage System's concealment hadn't been affected at all by crossing into Otherworldly Space!

It was a technique Wang Dong had figured out before he was reborn.

It was also the main reason he valued this Shipborne Module so highly.

The concealment provided by the Mirage System was stable enough.

Unlike Wang Dong, who had the Warship Game Auxiliary System and could detect Otherworldly Space signals directly, regardless of the celestial environment.

This allowed War Axe to enter Otherworldly Space "proactively" by controlling when and where it received an Otherworldly Space signal.

Other Kindling Warships didn't have that ability.

They entered Otherworldly Space by cruising through the Cosmic Void Belt, always ready to "passively" receive an Otherworldly Space signal, as if hoping to get lucky.

Activating the Mirage System consumed a great deal of energy. It lasted for 24 hours, after which it needed 24 hours of Buffer Time.

Other Kindling Warships couldn't control when they entered Otherworldly Space, so they couldn't make use of the Mirage System's concealment to gain the upper hand after entering.

Wang Dong's Auxiliary System, combined with the Mirage System's high stability, gave him a whole new advantage.
