Because there were so many cities, Wang Dong spent two hours on the second habitable planet. He used 21 main-gun rounds and 56 secondary-gun rounds, gaining 352 Source Points.

The additional Source Points came from the continued spread of the fire and water disasters on the first habitable planet, which caused more casualties.

By then, the warships in the Yatai star system had been mobilized and begun setting up defenses above the three habitable planets.

When the first planet was attacked, the Yatai civilization had finally discovered the Uninvited Guest, the War Axe.

But mobilizing and positioning warships took time.

Moreover, the warships of a Level One interstellar civilization like the Yatai civilization could only travel through outer space. They were incapable of conducting planetary landing operations.

They could only respond passively.

Wang Dong paid them no mind. It wouldn't be easy for those warships to surround the War Axe.

Wang Dong had already visited two of the three habitable planets in the Yatai star system. The Yatai civilization's warships had finished setting up defenses around the last one.

Wang Dong had achieved his first objective.

But the killing wouldn't stop.

The Yatai civilization's fleet had finished setting up defenses around the three habitable planets.

But that was no use at all!

With barely seven hundred warships above each habitable planet on average, they couldn't stop the War Axe from breaking through with ease.

The main gun blasted a path. In ten minutes, aided by the Shipborne Optical Computer and the Sky-Scanning Radar, ten shots sank ten warships. One hundred and twenty secondary-gun rounds sank another twenty-one.

Without Mie Particles, that devastating weapon of war, the War Axe could easily achieve an extremely high hit rate.

The fire-control systems aboard the Yatai civilization's warships were far inferior to the War Axe's. Their accuracy at extreme range was pitiful.

The occasional two hits merely sent ripples across the War Axe's energy shield, wearing down some of its durability.

And that durability was constantly regenerating.

After breaking through the thin encirclement, Wang Dong ordered the War Axe to turn around and charge back to the first planet.

The War Axe's first round of attacks had mainly been aimed at creating disasters.

The destruction and casualties caused by disasters unfolded over time, so the sooner they started, the better.

First, he made a pass over all three planets.

Next came the process of kicking them while they were down.

The main goal was to accelerate the spread of disasters that might otherwise have begun to abate.

After an hour of kicking them while they were down, he used 17 main-gun rounds and 90 secondary-gun rounds, gaining 145 Source Points.

As the losses caused by the disasters grew, the amount of additional Source Points Wang Dong gained increased as well.

Once the War Axe had broken through the defense line and descended onto a planet, the Yatai civilization's space warships couldn't follow it down to fight. The planet's own defenses were nowhere near strong enough to stop the War Axe's destruction.

The missiles and other weapons launched by the planet's fighters couldn't even damage the War Axe's armor. The War Axe charged through with such force that it ignored every attempt to harass it.

Once enough enemies had gathered, he used the secondary guns to bombard them. Each volley cleared out a wide area.

Then Wang Dong used the same trick again, relying on the energy shield to break through to the second planet.

After an hour, including the thirty-one warships sunk while breaking through the Yatai civilization's fleet defense line, he used 27 main-gun rounds and 201 secondary-gun rounds, gaining a total of 191 Source Points.

Then he moved on to the third planet. After an hour, including the twenty-five warships sunk while breaking through the Yatai civilization's fleet defense line, he used 20 main-gun rounds and 239 secondary-gun rounds, gaining a total of 151 Source Points.

After that, Wang Dong couldn't go on.

He had only three main-gun rounds left, so he didn't dare push his luck any further.

He looked at the three habitable planets, still teeming with people, and the thousands of warships. His heart was willing, but he could do nothing.

The main-gun ammunition was almost gone, and the secondary-gun ammunition was running low too.

He couldn't use up every last round. If he did, the War Axe would become nothing more than a sitting target.

Besides, he could see that the residents of the habitable planets had begun evacuating. If he forced his way through again, the returns would diminish.

On the planets, the ravaged cities were already receiving organized relief efforts. The fires were under control, and casualties had plummeted.
