Theramore's early morning was broken by a knock on the door.
Jaina·Proudmoore stood in front of the door of Deren's residence. She did not teleport directly to the living room today. Instead, she stood in front of the door and knocked on the door.
Behind her stood a gray-haired old man, with the emblem of Dalaran embroidered on his purple robe, but his wise eyes were shining with a light that did not match his age. He turned out to be the old bomb maniac Antonidas, who Dalaran defeated the devil some time ago.
"Deren, my teacher Master Antonidas is here to visit." Jaina's voice came through the door panel, with a hint of unnoticeable tension.
The door opened. Deren stood at the door, his eyes moving from Jaina's face to the legendary mage. Antonidas's white beard almost hung down to his belly, but his back was straight, and the crystal on the top of the staff in his hand emitted a soft blue light.
"We meet again, Mr. Deren." Antonidas nodded slightly, but looked over Deren's shoulders and scanned the inside of the room, "Jaina often mentioned your outstanding tactical ability."
Deren stepped aside to make way for the passage. "You've won the prize, Master. Come in quickly!"
Antonidas walked in slowly, and the staff made a crisp sound on the floor. His eyes were immediately attracted to Anveena in the corner of the room - the blond girl was curled up in the armchair, holding a colorful picture book and reading it. The sunlight through the window gave her a layer of gold.
"I came to Theramore for two things." The old mage withdrew his gaze, "Dalaran hopes to buy some Sunwell Water for research. In addition, I also want to meet again. You Jaina's 'Tactical Advisor'. Last time at Dalaran you persuaded me to rescue Silvermoon City, and you left a deep impression on me."
Onyxia walked out of the shadows, staring at the old mage with his golden vertical pupils. "Sunwell Water is not something you can buy casually."
Antonidas's eyes stayed on Black Dragon Princess for a moment, and the corners of his mouth raised slightly. "Of course, the price is negotiable. After all, Jaina is my student, so you must give this old face of mine some face."
At this moment, Anveena put down the book, jumped up lightly and ran to Deren, naturally took his arm and hugged him in front of her, and asked innocently, "Brother, who is this old man?"
The air in the room seemed to have solidified. Black smoke came out from Onyxia's fingertips. Jaina took a breath of cold air, and Antonidas's eyes widened slightly - he could clearly feel the surging sea-like magic waves in the girl's body at close range.
Deren said without changing his expression, "This is Master Antonidas, the teacher of Jaina. Anna, be polite."
"Anna Got it!" Anveena smiled sweetly and gave a slightly clumsy salute to the old mage.
Antonidas's eyes moved back and forth between Deren and Anveena, and finally rested on their touching arms. He could feel that the amazing magic power receded like a tide after the girl named Anna took Deren's arm, making people doubt whether it really existed.
"Interesting brother-sister relationship." The old mage said slowly, with a flash of understanding in his eyes. He obviously recognized the nature of Anveena's magical creature, but wisely did not point it out.
Onyxia took a step forward and stood on the other side of Deren almost in a protective posture, with a dangerous light flashing in his eyes.
Antonidas glanced at her, and the crystal on the staff flashed slightly. He assessed the situation - a tactician with unknown power, a magical creature with huge energy in his body, and an adult Black Dragon who was obviously jealous. The old mage quickly calculated the odds of victory in his mind.
These three people can live in Theramore. Obviously Jaina knows their identities. Give her some face! Although magical creatures are rare, considering the existence of Black Dragon, it is always a trouble. In the end, the old mage suppressed his curiosity.
"We can talk about Sunwell Water another day." Antonidas suddenly changed the subject, "Jaina, how about taking me to visit Theramore's elf community? It is said that there are several newly moved elf mages?"
Jaina was obviously relieved. "Of course, teacher."
After the two left, Onyxia pulled Anveena away from Deren: "Little girl, don't be too presumptuous!"
Anveena pouted aggrievedly. "Oni sister is so fierce."
Deren rubbed his temples. "That's enough, you two."
Less than an hour after Antonidas left, Deren welcomed a new visitor.
"Deren! Explain!"
Sylvanas·Windrunner strode into the living room, her silver armor sparkling in the sun. Behind her was Vereesa who looked curiously, their long ears trembling slightly with excitement.
"Explain what?" Deren put down the document in his hand and raised his eyes to look at the angry Ranger General.
"How can you just walk into other people's homes?" Onyxia happened to be angry and had nowhere to vent, and shouted angrily at the two female elves, "Do you have any manners? If you do this again, I will throw you out."
"Okay, I heard that Arthas went to Northrend, and I just wanted to go to him to settle the score." Queen had obviously figured out the truth of some things and answered confidently.
Deren was so frightened that he immediately jumped up and hurriedly comforted his angry wife, "Okay, okay, everyone, don't be angry. Say what you have to say, and say what you have to say!"
Black Dragon said "Tch!" and was very dissatisfied with the female elf sisters, but for Deren's sake, he angrily said nothing.
Sylvanas pointed at Anveena who was hiding behind Deren: "This little thing! The last time we met, she was still an underage girl, but now she is." She ran her fingers across Anveena's mature figure, "You humans don't grow so fast, do you?"
Vereesa came forward and observed Anveena with great interest. "Wow, Anna is so amazing! His body has become so good, can I study it?" With that, he stepped forward and stroked Anveena's upper body.
Anveena shrank behind Deren in fear.
"She is a magical creature," Deren said calmly, "She is continuously absorbing Sunwell's magic power, so her growth is accelerated."
Sylvanas narrowed his eyes, his sharp gaze seemed to be able to pierce lies. "Is it that simple?"
Onyxia suddenly intervened between the two of them. "Windrunner, when did you start caring about Deren's family affairs?"
Sparks suddenly flew into the air. Sylvanas's hand pressed on the quiver, and Onyxia's pupils had shrunk to a thin line.
"Okay!" Deren raised his voice, "Anveena's situation is indeed special, but I have explained it clearly. If there is nothing else."
Vereesa suddenly raised his hand. "Wait! Can I take some of her hair for research? Magical creatures! It's so rare!"
"No." Deren and Onyxia said in unison.
Sylvanas looked at Anveena, then at Deren, and finally his eyes fell on Onyxia. A playful smile suddenly appeared on the corner of Ranger General's mouth, "Interesting. Black Dragon, what are you hiding?"
Onyxia's expression instantly darkened.
