Although Jaina did not quite understand, she trusted Deren's words. She merely asked worriedly, "Thrall probably won't discover this secret, will he?"
Deren was not entirely sure either. "In theory, he shouldn't be able to discover it. But this is a world with magic and gods, so who knows whether he has some kind of danger sense? Or he might take one apart to study it and get some inspiration for Goblin engineering. Anyway, we'll just wait and see."
Jaina covered her mouth and laughed. "That wicked idea of yours will be enough for him to enjoy. I heard he went outside the city to test it today. He should be under the impression that it's perfectly safe and stable by now."
Deren spread his hands. "That isn't our fault. I warned him over and over that the new weapon was extremely dangerous."
"Yes, there will be a good show to watch then," Jaina concluded.
After several days of preparation, Thrall set out from Theramore with a large force of Mag'har Orcs, heading north through the Swamp of Sorrows. Their destination was the Crossroads in The Barrens, where the Horde had an outpost.
The convoy was enormous, and Thrall no longer had the patience to scout the road batch by batch. The many accidents had already left the Great Chieftain physically and mentally exhausted. He decided to gamble everything on one throw.
