"Come on, Deren, it's your turn!" Lezi Long urged from where she lay on the bed.
The man cautiously glanced at the Black Dragon. Seeing that her expression remained unchanged, he knew she had strong cards, so he said, "Pass. I can't beat that this round."
"Oh, hahaha—" Lezi Long laughed happily, leaping up from the bed and grinning wildly at the Black Dragon. "Deren can't beat it. I only have four cards left!"
"Four threes! I only have four cards left too." The Black Dragon sneered and threw down a bomb.
"Ugh!" Lezi Long's laughter died in her throat.
"No!" Lezi Long finally exploded. She had finally gained the upper hand, only to be crushed by the Black Dragon in one move. She complained indignantly, "I've been running around working so hard these past few days—wrecking carriages, weathering railings, even breaking a stair board—and you still won't let me win even once."
"Shh!" Deren hurried over and wrapped an arm around Lezi Long, stopping her from exposing everything.
"You little brat, have you lost your mind? What are you talking about?" Onyxia panicked as well. She had not expected the Bronze Dragon to reveal all the accidents she had caused over the past few days.
"Fine, fine, I misspoke!" Chromie realized she had said the wrong thing too. Fortunately, there were no outsiders here. She could only slump back down and mutter resentfully, "Why can't we go back yet? Why do we still have to deal with this mess?"
"All right, Chromie. Once tomorrow's business is settled, we'll go back." Deren could only comfort her.
