Under the control of magic, the huge Nitroglycerin arrived in front of Charge's Undead iron cavalry in just a few seconds.
"Boom--!!!"
The bomb exploded in front of Arthas and others, and a terrifying shock wave hit. The first few freshmen Death Knight didn't make a sound and instantly turned into pieces.
Death Knight, who was next to Arthas, saw the bright light of the explosion flashing. Knowing that something was wrong, he immediately threw himself in front of Arthas and blocked him from the heat wave of the explosion.
Even with the desperate efforts of his subordinates to rescue him, the horrific explosion still knocked him and his horse several dozen meters away. Arthas's armor was shattered inch by inch, and the rotten flesh was burned to a sizzling sound. He knelt down on one knee, Frostmourne was deeply inserted into the ground before he could barely stabilize his body. The injury he suffered this time was more serious than the one he suffered when he sneaked into Dalaran and was burned by Holy Light not long ago.
"Sir!" Kel'Thuzad's voice came from afar, "The ceremony will take time! Legion's reinforcements will arrive soon."
Arthas gritted his teeth and stood up, the anger in his eyes burning fiercely. He never thought that he would be forced into such a situation.
Why does this Dalaran feel like something is wrong? Why is it so strong?
He no longer sought to regain the front line. Instead, he led his men to form a dense defense line, gathered all the Undead mages he could mobilize, and used magic to bombard him. He no longer used melee units to fight the opponent desperately.
But in the face of Dalaran's fierce offensive, Undead's defense retreated step by step. And magic happens to be the opponent's strength!
Just when Dalaran's army was about to break through the last line of defense--
The sky was split.
A huge green crack tore open in the clouds, and the blazing Fel Energy poured down like a waterfall. Immediately afterwards, the burning boulder fell from the crack, dragging a long trail of flames onto the battlefield.
"Infernal! It's Infernal!" someone shouted in horror.
"Boom! Boom! Boom!"
Infernal landed inside the Undead defense line first, smashing a pile of skeletons. The burning boulder turned into a ferocious demonic structure the moment it hit the ground. The Infernal giant roared and stood up. The ground cracked wherever it passed, and flames swept everything.
It trampled violently through a sea of Undead bones and rushed to the front of the Dalaran battle formation.
The knights sent by Dalaran turned into flesh under their giant fists, and the shields of the mages were as fragile as paper in Fel Flame.
"Asshole, this is Dalaran, a great magic city, not a paradise for demons. Go back!" Antonidas was furious when he saw Infernal wreaking havoc within his own army. The key point is that this thing is immune to magic. Several powerful spells were applied, and not a single hair was lost at all.
"Come on, try this Glyph Bomb!" Antonidas also changed from a magic master to a bomb maniac. A bundle of tens of kilograms of Nitroglycerin was taken out by the old mage from Space Bag, and hit Infernal's shoulder under the influence of the spell.
"Boom!" There was a sound. The Infernal, which had been lively just now, turned into a brainless one - the bomb blew off the part above its shoulders! Then the headless Infernal stopped and turned into rubble and fell to the ground.
This achievement encouraged Dalaran's troops. The broken battle line regrouped, and Antonidas ordered to wait until more Nitroglycerin Bomb were replenished before launching an attack.
"Explode! Explode! Explode!" His white beard was flying, his tone was fierce, and he didn't have any of his usual Archmage demeanor. He only had a Nitroglycerin-shaped cigar in the corner of his mouth.
Numerous Felguards also emerged from the space-time rift just now. They were holding burning battle axes or giant swords, their skins were cracked like lava, and the green blood of Fel Energy was flowing in their veins. They were originally stepping on the bones of Undead to rush to the front line.
As a result, I saw that Infernal, who was the first to rush over, was killed by these mortal troops in one move after not jumping around for long. He was so frightened that he quickly stopped and began to retreat quietly.
"Hold on, Master Archimonde is watching you!" Arthas certainly would not let go of such a useful cannon fodder. He shouted and directed these huge demons to stand on the front line, consuming the Glyph Bomb of Dalaran's troops.
"No, this is not magic!" One of the leaders, Felguard, had his right hand blown off by a bomb thrown by a magic apprentice. He screamed in grief. He thought he was summoned and could slaughter weak creatures wantonly. In the end, he was directly injured in the explosion before he even touched a mortal.
Faced with the raindrops of bombs thrown by Dalaran magic apprentices, the Felguards retreated timidly. But they did not dare to retreat too far. After all, a ceremony to summon Archimonde was being held behind. Amidst Demonic's curses, many demons directly bombed Twisting Nether back.
In this way, the two sides were facing each other, and Dalaran's front was also advancing slowly. If Nitroglycerin Bomb hadn't been consumed too quickly and was waiting for transportation from the rear to replenish it, Dalaran's troops could have advanced faster.
Arthas stood on the high platform, Frostmourne pointed directly at the sky. He was almost in despair. He mobilized all the Undead troops in the rear to fill the gap in the front line that was wiped out by Dalaran's bombs.
Kel'Thuzad Only a group of crispy psychics were left at the summoning site. Fortunately, the summoning ceremony of Medivh's Book was almost completed at the last moment. The huge Fel Gate slowly opened next to Medivh's Book, and more demons were pouring out of Twisting Nether. The pressure on the frontline Dalaran troops suddenly doubled.
"No!" Antonidas shouted in despair. He ignored the magic interference of the other party's Undead mage and threw a Glyph Bomb towards the distant summoning site. He made a last-ditch struggle! He himself had no hope for this bomb. He had thrown many long-range bombs just now, but they were all intercepted by the magic of Undead mage.
Arthas's voice is as biting as the cold wind:
"The era of Dalaran... is over."
Thousands of meters above the sky, the dark figure of Onyxia hovered silently.
Deren clutched the saddle on the dragon's back, squinting at the burning battlefield below. Jaina sat on the dragon's neck, holding the staff tightly with both hands, wind magic flowing around her, ready to guide the trajectory of the bomb at any time.
"Did you see it?" Deren asked in a low voice.
Jaina nodded and pointed to the Fel Energy light pillar soaring into the sky in the distance. "The summoning ceremony is right there."
Deren patted Onyxia's scales. "Get closer, but don't be discovered."
Black Dragon Princess snorted contemptuously, adjusted the angle of its wings slightly, and glided quietly under the cover of the night.
The battlefield below is like a picture of hell - the mages of Dalaran are still struggling to resist, but the number of demons seems endless. Every few minutes, Fel Gate will flash once, and a new Infernal or Felguard will enter the battlefield.
"They won't last long." Jaina said in a tight voice, "We must act now."
"Are you ready?" He looked at Jaina.
Jaina took a deep breath, and the tip of the staff lit up with a cyan light. "You can do it at any time."
Deren grinned and patted Onyxia: "It's time for us to perform, baby."
Black Dragon's eyes flashed with excitement. She suddenly flapped her wings and climbed up. When she reached the highest point - then she aimed at the target and dived! It was as if she had practiced it countless times before.
When the bomb was already pointing downwards, Deren faced the hurricane at high altitude and shouted loudly:
"Drop a bomb!"
The bomb escaped from the dragon's claws and roared to the ground.
Onyxia flapped its wings vigorously, resumed horizontal flight, and began to circle slowly around the impact point of the bomb.
Jaina immediately cast Eagle Eye to track the falling bomb. In order to facilitate tracking in the dark night, a tiny luminous gem was added to the tail of the bomb. Jaina cast wind magic according to the bomb's falling trajectory, and the invisible air flow wrapped around the projectile, accurately correcting its trajectory.
In the distance, Antonidas was already betting on the last bomb, hoping to interrupt the summoning ceremony. Undead mages found the bombs overhead and instinctively raised their staffs to interfere. They were never allowed to interrupt their master's summoning ceremony.
Time seems to slow down. Countless invisible threads are intertwined, each pulling an invisible fate.
