While eating in the inn's dining room, Deren was surprised to see little ranger Laras appear with two female elf companions.
Beside him, his black dragon companion whispered in his ear, "Darling, looks like the Windrunner boy's spring has come."
"Heh heh!" Deren could only laugh foolishly.
"He's got two as well, same number as you. My adviser!" Jaina teased from the other side.
"Coincidence. Accident. Nothing to do with me," Deren hurriedly defended himself.
The Windrunner Sisters arrived while they were quietly talking. They looked at Laras and his two companions with complicated eyes.
Then they greeted Deren in a friendly manner.
Alleria walked over and sat at Deren's table, then explained, "While Laras stayed in Silvermoon City on his own, he met two companions. One wants to make a life in Silvermoon City, and the other wants to find a way to treat her sick and injured mother. So they want to travel with us. I don't know if that would be convenient for Lady Jaina?"
"No problem," Jaina agreed at once. When teleporting, two more people were no big deal for an archmage like her.
Then she asked gossipy, "Aren't you worried about those two elves?" She meant that the Windrunner Sisters had always paid special attention to Laras.
Alleria smiled bitterly. "Our little brother has reached the age to grow up. He should decide for himself. We can't control him for his whole life. Besides, love that watches him every moment of every day can sometimes be a kind of restraint. We have to let go too, and let him experience growth on his own."
