The Ranger-General summoned the last of her strength, nocked an arrow, aimed at its hideous face, and let it fly. Sadly, the Ranger-General, who never missed, had missed this time. The arrow skimmed past its ugly face, blasting away half its head, but the Abomination did not die. It merely roared to show its displeasure, then attacked the gate even more savagely.

A flicker of disappointment crossed Sylvanas's eyes. As her hands fell limp, the longbow she had always treasured as dearly as her life slipped to the ground. She could no longer hold it. Its power surpassed even Sylvanas's own.
