With the Crypt Fiends' help, the Scourge's skeletons and Ghouls finally reached Windrunner Outpost. But a trench still stood in their way.
Of course, for other races, trenches might be a lifeline, and they would need to use a large number of troops to fill them in. But for the Scourge, it was easy. The skeletons obligingly jumped into the trench. Even when the spikes at the bottom pierced their bodies, they didn't cry out once. They were tougher than Orcs—real men through and through. Some skeletons had their hands broken off by the spikes, and their legs snapped when comrades who jumped down after them landed on them. Still, they didn't make a sound. They simply searched in silence for intact hand and leg bones, then snatched them up with quick hands and fitted them onto themselves. They didn't care if one arm was longer than the other or one leg taller than the other. They stubbornly continued to cushion the fall for their comrades above, letting more skeletons and Ghouls cross the trench safely.

Sophia shouted from atop the palisade. A flash of brilliant light turned the Undead between the wall and the trench to ash. This powerful move left the ground beneath Windrunner Outpost's palisade suddenly clear.
But unfortunately, no matter how impressive your moves were, there was always one way to defeat them: throw more bodies at the problem.
And the facts proved that the saying "one good trick can take you anywhere" was indeed a truth worth spending a lifetime learning.
