Bolvar Fordragon, once a trusted aide to Anduin Lothar, the Regent of the Kingdom of Stormwind, had devoted himself to protecting Lady Talia and Prince Varian Wrynn in Lordaeron City after Lothar's death. He had served them tirelessly and with unwavering loyalty, and years later, his efforts were rewarded.
Back in the Kingdom of Stormwind, Varian had ascended the throne and trusted Bolvar as much as Lothar once had. Bolvar, in turn, repaid that trust with his own earnest dedication and wholehearted service. But lately, he had begun to feel that something was strange about his King.
Varian had spent his childhood in exile, his homeland lost and his family scattered, living under other people's roofs. His life had been far harder than most, and he had developed a courage, insight, and knack for handling affairs far beyond his years. Varian was still an excellent King, and given time, he would surely surpass his father, Cain Wrynn. Yet recently, Bolvar had clearly sensed a new impatience, arrogance, and even brutality in him. This was utterly unlike the Varian he remembered. Still, Bolvar kept telling himself that Varian was simply young, and that with time, he would grow into a better man. But that belief finally crumbled when Kurdran, Brynn, and Darius all came to see him while he was calculating the Alliance and Horde's supply needs.
"Is what you're saying true? Varian really intends to withdraw the troops?!"
"That's right, Bolvar. None of us agreed with Varian's decision to attack the Orcs, so he got up and left. As he was leaving, he said that."
"How could Varian suddenly make such a ridiculous decision? Has a ram kicked him in
