Solodar, Star's Fury

The sudden changes among the Scourge gave many people—or many forces—a chance, and they seized it. The foremost among them were Alexandros in Southshore and Turalyon, who remained in Tirisfal Glades.

Though Southshore had little military strength and a very small population, fortune was on its side. Alexandros, once a member of the Silver Hand, had obtained a weapon coveted by all who wielded the Holy Light: a legendary blade named Ashbringer.

The blade's origins and the process by which it was forged didn't matter. No one cared. Its radiance made everyone look upon it in awe and bow before it. Ashbringer, the Paladin's treasured weapon, could do more than greatly enhance its wielder's Holy Light. More importantly, the blade itself contained powerful, boundless Holy Light. With Ashbringer in hand, Alexandros was like a walking cannon with unlimited ammunition on the battlefield. Alone, he could defeat countless Scourge undead.

After obtaining Ashbringer, Alexandros came to love charging into battle alone on horseback. Whenever he rode through a densely packed sea of skeletons, all he left behind was an endless trail of bones and ash. The thrill of invincibility filled him, and with Ashbringer in hand, Alexandros felt he had surpassed Uther the Lightbringer.

It was only thanks to Alexandros and Ashbringer's protection that Southshore—with its weak military and small population—survived the Scourge's ravages. Like a brilliant jewel in the Hillsbrad Foothills, it drew countless survivors to its shores.

Once the Scourge suddenly stopped attacking, Alexandros, who wielded Ashbringer, began planning to reclaim the lost lands seized by the undead. He thought it, and he did it.

Led by Alexandros, Southshore's warriors marched forth, singing at the top of their lungs and winning battle after battle. Before long, Alexandros held the entire Hillsbrad Foothills in his grasp. But he never imagined
