Everything before him was blurry. He tried hard to open his eyes, only to find that something usually so trivial had become impossible. In the end, he could only give up, close his eyes, and soon sink back into a deep sleep.
After an unknown amount of time, he woke from his slumber once more. This time, his heavy eyelids finally opened, but everything before him was strange. He tried to look around, but found he still couldn't. Then a tall, burly figure with two enormous tusks protruding from his mouth approached. His lips moved as if he were saying something, but not a sound reached him. After a while, the figure brought over a bowl of some unknown substance and fed it to him.
At last, he was able to get out of bed and hear sounds. But he couldn't understand a thing, and he couldn't remember anything either.
A month passed. He finally learned the local language and found out the name of the person who had rescued him, as well as where he was. But his memories still hadn't returned.
