Built against the mountains and overlooking the sea, the Kingdom of Stormwind's capital represented more than the glory of the Uryen family—it embodied the spirit of the entire kingdom. As long as Stormwind City stood, the people of the Kingdom of Stormwind could weather any hardship and wait for the skies to clear. Even if Stormwind City were destroyed, as long as a single brick remained, as long as one person still remembered it, the kingdom would not fall. The message was to be vigilant even in times of peace. If Varian truly heeded Darius's suggestion and moved the capital to Goldshire, the Kingdom of Stormwind might well fall after a few generations.
