When these giants stood shoulder to shoulder before you, clad in heavy armor and carrying tower shields, you felt that nowhere was safer than behind them. Standing at their backs, you didn't need to worry about your own safety at all. All you had to think about was how to kill the enemy faster and more effectively.

It wasn't just the Horde warriors who thought so. Even the soldiers of the Seventh Legion felt the same way. The Tauren shield warriors' backs were like iron pillars, holding up a canopy of life for them and turning aside the enemy's blades and spears.

Skeletons, drooling from their jaws; Ghouls, neither human nor beast; and dark warriors, clad in black armor with only a pair of eerie blue eyes showing, slammed violently into the shield wall formed by the Tauren.

Among the ranks of the Scourge were plenty of Abominations, swaying like giants with their massive bellies sticking out. The thick iron chains they swung whistled through the air, sweeping away everything in their path before crashing down on the Tauren shield formation. Yet even then, the shield wall only wavered. With their comrades' help, the Tauren quickly steadied themselves and braced their shields at the front once more.
