The two people who had come up with Soraka were both mages. When they heard roars echoing from the sky, they immediately conjured several Ice Shields around the group. The moment they finished, something changed overhead. A huge shadow swept across the sky, and the gale it stirred sent leaves cascading from the trees.
"Careful."
Sometimes, unseen dangers were the deadliest. The shadow's sudden passage put the five of them on even higher alert. But aside from that shadow, nothing else stirred in the forest growing inside the building. Even the unending roars had fallen silent. In an instant, the vast forest became terrifyingly quiet.
"Haah... Hoo... Haah... Hoo..."
"Whose breathing is so heavy?"
In the silence, a heavy panting suddenly sounded. The group exchanged glances, each seeing the same denial in the others' eyes. As the five stood facing one another, the heavy breathing continued without pause. They quickly backed away and turned to look behind them.
A fearsome dragon's head loomed there, its face wearing a "smile," drool dripping from between its teeth, and white breath steaming from its enormous nostrils. It stared wide-eyed at them. When it realized they had seen it, it quickly reared its head, and flames gathered in its mouth.
"Careful!"
"How can there be a dragon here?"
"That's not a dragon! It's a Proto-Dragon."
The one who explained wasn't Garrosh, but Soraka. When the Proto-Dragon heard her voice, it stopped in the middle of rearing its head to breathe fire. A voice came from its back.
"Lady Soraka? What are you doing here?"
As he spoke, a burly figure jumped down from the Proto-Dragon's back.
"Skadi, I want to see Ymiron. Sorry for the trouble, but could you show me the way?"
