Every Keeper could be called a perfect being. They were kind and righteous, selfless and fearless, brave in battle and implacable toward evil. The chief administrator, Odin, had distanced himself from his fellow Keepers because of the five Dragonflights. He sat high above them in Valhalla, the floating city, while Helya, whom he regarded as his daughter, and her fellow Valkyr continued guiding the souls of Vrykul heroes to Valhalla.

As for Ra-den, the Highkeeper, he had discovered the remains of Y'Shaarj scattered across the southern reaches of the world. When Aman'Thul tore the Old God Y'Shaarj from Azeroth, its flesh had been flung far and wide, yet it still spread evil across the land. The largest and most intact piece of tissue was Y'Shaarj's cold heart, a diseased mass of flesh that seethed with Void Energy.

Ra-den had not chosen to destroy it outright. Instead, he built an underground chamber to seal away the heart, both to contain the evil it spread and to better understand the nature of the Old Gods and other creatures of the Void.
