Not long after he had sent that stone tumbling into a fissure on the ocean floor, the land across all of Azeroth began to tremble. A sound like muffled thunder rang through the sky. In truth, it was the sound of continental plates colliding. But the greatest changes were at sea: the water level kept rising, as if something were about to burst out of the ocean.
"You bastards! How dare you scheme against me! Too bad that fool N'Zoth still couldn't resist temptation. Now I, Y'Shaarj, have returned! Azeroth! Titans! Prepare to face my vengeance!"
As that voice rang in the ears of everyone in the world, the ground shook even more violently. Much of the land had already been swallowed by the sea, and countless creatures fled to higher ground in search of a chance to survive. But faced with the towering waves rushing toward them, most could only stand where they were and await death. They couldn't outrun the waves, and they didn't want to flee. Their homes were here. Their families were here.
"Damn it! That fool N'Zoth let Y'Shaarj come back to life! He even let him break through the Titans' seal! Damn it! Algalon! Kill him!"
Countless lines, seeming both real and unreal yet undeniably present, shot out from Ulduar and streaked across the sky. They ensnared Algalon, who was observing Azeroth from beyond the planet. It was some time before Y'Shaarj used N'Zoth's true body to escape from the ocean depths and the ground finally fell still. Only then did the threads wrapped around Algalon slowly sink into his body. Algalon was no longer the Titans' Observer. He had become the puppet of the Old God Yogg-Saron, the Throat of a Thousand Voices.
