"Kazeka, you bastard! What the hell did you do?!"
Hinata's attack power had suddenly surged. She could even wound a Chunin despite being only a ninja student, which left Hideo thrilled.
But Hinata's current personality terrified him.
Where had the polite, somewhat shy Young Master of the clan gone? Why had she turned into such a delinquent young lady?
Hideo wanted to believe he was seeing things, but there was no mistaking the way Hinata looked at him as if he were trash!
"Looks like letting you teach Hinata really was a mistake..."
Kazeka wore a strange smile.
"With my help, Hinata's strength improved dramatically in an instant, and this change made you angry.
With an attitude like that, I have to wonder how you ever qualified as a Chunin!"
"You know that's not what I'm talking about!"
Hideo glared at Kazeka in fury.
"Why did the Young Lady Hinata's personality change?!"
"Oh, that's just a tiny side effect of taking control of her power..."
Kazeka patiently explained.
"I used a drug to bring out Hinata's potential, allowing her to unleash tremendous fighting power.
But controlling that potential would be difficult with her original, timid personality.
So her personality automatically adjusted to suit what her body needed, becoming a little more assertive!"
"You call this a little?"
Looking at Hinata's icy gaze from nearby, Hideo felt like his whole world had fallen apart.
"She's obviously acting like a delinquent! Our Hyuga Clan has always been honorable. Give me back the gentle young lady you turned into this, you bastard!"
"You kept filling my head with wrong ideas. Now that I've found the right path, you still have the nerve to complain?"
Hinata's expression grew even colder.
"Besides, a girl with a weak personality can't become clan head. Are you trash planning to control my fate from now on?"
"Young Master, that's not it!"
Seeing his good intentions misunderstood, Hideo felt wronged. His anger toward Kazeka only grew, and he sprang to his feet.
"I've had enough of this farce. Kazeka, I'm taking you in today, and you're going to turn the Young Lady back to normal!"
"So we're fighting after all? But how much fight do you have left?"
"Even though the Young Lady badly injured me, I can still handle you!"
Although ninjas were a high-attack, low-defense profession, Hideo was a Chunin. Two not-yet-graduated ninja students should have been no trouble for him.
At least, that was what Hideo thought. But after just one exchange with Kazeka, his eyes widened in shock!
"You! How are you moving so fast?!"
"As a proper scientist, I put safety first. So before coming here, I operated on my own legs..."
Kazeka remained calm, as if he weren't talking about surgery performed on himself.
"I sacrificed my left arm and grafted most of its nerves and blood vessels onto my legs.
That gave me speed on par with a Chunin!"
Ignoring Hideo's horrified stare, Kazeka's expression gradually turned excited.
"With this, you can't threaten me whether I'm holding you off or running away. As for attacking..."
As he dodged, Kazeka suddenly darted to the left, exposing Hinata behind him. Her palms were covered in a thick layer of Chakra, and she struck Hideo in the chest once more!
"Pfft!"
Hideo was sent flying again. Fortunately, his first beating had taught him to defend himself in time, but the blow still made him spit up blood.
Feeling the force of Hinata's attack, he stared at them in uncertainty.
"Kazeka, did you really increase the Young Lady's fighting power? No! That method is forbidden. I won't let you lead the Young Lady astray!"
"Just because you think you're right, you force your wishes on other people. What an outdated way of thinking..."
Hinata's face was full of scorn. She attacked alongside Kazeka again.
"Now I understand. Your way of teaching is far too narrow-minded.
The Byakugan can do far more than you know.
I can already use it to control the Chakra inside my body more precisely and unleash even greater bursts of power.
I have a feeling that as I keep developing my eyes,
I'll be able to divide my opponent's weak points into even finer categories, splitting them into tenths and using a three-seven division to create an absolute weak point and land a critical hit!"
Hinata attacked Hideo without pause, her tone growing even colder.
"You lot are a waste of the clan's food.
Once I get back, I'll make changes and put the clan's attitude in order!
Even that useless father of mine, Hyuga Hiashi, will get a proper talking-to!"
After delivering this "filial" speech, Hinata attacked without the slightest mercy.
Seeing this, Hideo feared that things would get even worse if he let the fight drag on, so he finally went all out.
While the two were attacking, he suddenly struck toward the back of Hinata's neck, hoping to knock her unconscious.
At that very moment, Kazeka shifted sideways again and took the blow with his left arm, breaking it in the process!
"You're crazy! You don't care if you die?!"
Seeing Kazeka's left arm twisted at an unnatural angle, Hideo's eyes widened.
"We're not fighting to the death! Why would you block that attack like that? If you don't treat an injury like that right away, you could lose the use of your arm!"
"What do you take me for..."
Looking at his twisted left arm, Kazeka took out a special needle and thread with his right hand and quickly stitched it up. His hands moved so fast they left afterimages!
In just a couple of breaths, his left arm looked as good as new.
Watching Kazeka casually flex his left hand, Hideo couldn't help swallowing.
He could tell that taking the two of them back was going to be no easy task!
And just as he'd suspected, as the fight went on, he felt his stamina and attack power rapidly dwindling.
By the time he realized what was happening, Hinata had knocked him to the ground!
"Kazeka, you bastard! Not only did you influence the Young Lady, you poisoned me too!"
"Scientists are best at using poison. Isn't that common knowledge?
To deal with you, I brought out my latest formula. It doesn't just weaken you; it affects your thinking too.
Otherwise, with a Chunin's caution, you'd have noticed the problem much earlier..."
As he spoke, Kazeka took out a syringe and plunged it into Hideo's neck.
When Hideo woke again, he was strapped to a hospital bed in a Laboratory!
Seeing Kazeka in a white coat, holding a scalpel, Hideo immediately scolded him in terror.
"Kazeka, what are you doing? Are you going to kill me?"
"Of course not. We're from the same clan, after all.
But Hinata and our clan's Byakugan still need a great deal of preliminary testing.
And now we have you, such a perfect test subject..."
A sinister smile appeared on Kazeka's face.
"Of course I'm going to use you as my material and start by cutting you open to record some data!"
