What else could he do? The System's final prompt was that collecting Exotic Energy could restart it. The young transmigrator could only grit his teeth and brace himself to search for the so-called Exotic Energy. Li Zihan swore he had never heard of such a useless system.
Fifteen years passed in the blink of an eye. The results of Li Zihan's years of hard work, combined with the residual energy from the System's shutdown, had barely pushed the restart progress bar to seventy percent. The remaining thirty percent was a number that made his scalp tingle just looking at it. Filling it with Magic Power would require at least ten years of accumulation from a High-Grade Spirit Vein.
However, as a transmigrator with foresight, as long as he put his mind to it, he could always find suitable locations to collect energy.
High-Grade Spirit Veins, Magic Power accumulation, decades. Hmm, the decision is made. Fuyuki City, the peaceful and friendly Fuyuki City, it would be a disservice to the country and the party if I didn't start with you.
If I poured All the World's Evils from the Holy Grail into the System, it would surely be fully charged, Li Zihan thought. As long as it was fully charged, he could go to another world.
Thinking of this, Li Zihan felt a little sad. After all, he had been in this world for 15 years, and he had some feelings for it. It would be a lie to say he had no attachments.
But he had to leave. If he didn't run, there was a possibility of dying on the streets. As someone who knew his limits and didn't want to be soaked in Fuyuki Marine, Li Zihan had absolute confidence that some people wanted to kill him.
He hoped the next world would be a peaceful and friendly slice-of-life setting, preferably a world full of youthful daily life and the sour smell of romance. Li Zihan yearned for it. Dealing with these mentally ill individuals in the Type-Moon world who had no moral bottom line was simply deadly. Li Zihan absolutely refused to admit that such days were living; they were merely existing.
He took out a half-finger glove from his pocket and put it on, covering the scarlet runes on the back of his hand. Li Zihan snapped his fingers lightly, and dozens of pale blue butterflies flew out from the shadows, following their master's will and flying into the distance.
The future was distant, and humans were ultimately creatures who lived in the present. The most important thing now was to win this cup-contending battle, not to be a literary youth enjoying the future in the rain. Li Zihan sighed. If he couldn't send those Heroic Spirits from history back to where they came from in this broken cup war, he himself might be sent back, in a way that his soul would transmigrate and be reborn.
He followed the bridge forward, finally stopping at the bridgehead. Waiting for a nominal ally to arrive. The Holy Grail War was never a fair and just friendly match. Even if it were a friendly match, when the participants were all Mages with distorted values, it would become a complete demonstration of dirty tricks.
This Holy Grail War was clearly not prepared for outsiders. Li Zihan thought, then curled his lips. The Three Founding Families were truly ruthless. Out of the seven slots, the three families had already reached a tacit agreement, while the other four participants had unknowingly walked onto the battlefield, even thinking this battle was a noble game to showcase their abilities (you're looking at you, Kirei Kotomine!). This was clearly treating the other participants as leeks.
But this was good too. Participating as a member of the Three Founding Families could buy him enough time to make preparations. Li Zihan thought as he watched the passing vehicles. Without adequate preparation, even a transmigrator who knew the plot had a high probability of "GG" amidst laughter.
A sleek car cut through the rain curtain, speeding from the distance and stopping not far away. A middle-aged man with deep blue hair got out of the driver's seat and opened the rear passenger door.
"Li-kun, the Grand Supervisor requests your presence," the man acting as the driver bowed and gestured.
"Thank you for your trouble, Matou Family Head," the guest smiled and got into the back seat, closing the door.
"It is my duty," the middle-aged man said his polite greetings mechanically, like a puppet. "Don't mention it."
"How is the old gentleman's health?" the young man asked politely.
"His condition hasn't been very good lately," the middle-aged man's face showed a hint of relief, but it quickly turned gloomy, as if he had thought of something unpleasant.
"That's truly too good, cough, too distressing," the young man smiled brightly.
As they spoke, the engine rumbled, and the car sped into the distance.

Chapter 2: An Unbreakable Alliance Dedicated to the Matou Family
Matou Family, Courtyard.
An old man in a dark blue kimono sat in a stone pavilion in the center of the courtyard, skillfully grinding the shaded tea with a natural stone mortar into a fine powder. He then placed a small amount of tea powder into a tea bowl, added a little warm water, and stirred it evenly with a tea whisk. As time passed, a thick layer of foam appeared in the tea bowl, creating a visually appealing effect.
If this old man didn't look so unappealing, the effect would have been even better, the slender young man sitting opposite the old man thought to himself. Why would a Norseman learn these things? He's overdoing the Japanese style.
"Li-kun, please," the old man sitting in front of the young man naturally did not know the rich inner thoughts of the person before him. He invited his guest according to Japanese etiquette.
"This junior thanks you, Old Man Matou," the young man took the tea bowl and responded with tea ceremony etiquette, placing the tea bowl on the silk mat on the table, turning it twice, and then taking small sips of the matcha. He then carefully observed the patterns on the tea bowl.
