Berserker drew his longbow expressionlessly. Bronze arrows transformed into monstrous birds that, in myth, laid waste to everything around them, attacking man and beast alike. They had bronze claws and beaks, and their hard bronze feathers shook loose in the sky like sharp swords.

The sword-like feathers fell from the sky, tearing apart several unprepared warriors. The monstrous birds circled overhead with bloodcurdling cries. As pets of the war god Ares, they instinctively thirsted for blood.

Among the crowd opposite, a handsome youth drew his bowstring. A silver-white streak traced a perfect arc through the sky, piercing the lead monstrous bird through the heart before continuing onward to impale another behind it.

Enraged by the sudden attack, the monstrous birds spread their wings and beat them wildly. One sharp feather after another rained down upon the bow-wielding youth, intending to crush him to pieces.
