  • Heisenberg left Clark’s home and found Wizard Shazam waiting in a gloomy hall beside the Seven Deadly Sins statues.
Chapters 227–251 Vol. 3 Read

Ch. 227All Trash

Clark confronted Gres, whose psychic powers distorted his perceptions and turned those around him against him. Heisenberg watched Clark struggle to tell reality from illusion and joked that Superman had been controlled again.

  • Gres appeared before Clark, seduced him, and introduced herself as Gres after he asked her name.
  • Clark realized Gres was an unusual psychic enemy and brought her to the Kryptonian scholars, but she claimed she had made them all her people.
  • Clark attacked Gres, but Barry rescued her, while the others saw Clark assaulting an Amazon warrior and insulting everyone around him.
  • Clark questioned whether Gres was controlling his senses and actions, then wondered if he could trust anything he saw.
  • Heisenberg showed Mogo the scene and laughed that Superman had been controlled again.

Ch. 228Loving Gaze

Heisenberg comforted Mogo and promised to protect her from being modified, then dealt with Steppenwolf, who had tried to escape Mogo. Outside the divine kingdom, Bruce’s desperate concern for Clark was mistaken for a declaration of love, leaving Superman stunned.

  • Mogo admitted that she feared being modified by Bach, and Heisenberg promised to let her remain herself.
  • Steppenwolf climbed Mogo’s highest mountain to escape, but Heisenberg blasted him beyond the atmosphere and dragged him back, shortening the mountain when he crashed.
  • Steppenwolf refused to betray Darkseid or Apokolips and asked Heisenberg for a quick death, so Heisenberg summoned the Bifrost and asked what would happen if Steppenwolf’s people betrayed him.
  • Batman asked how to free Clark from an illusion, and Hippolyta rushed to use physical force before Bruce stopped her.
  • Clark opened his eyes after misinterpreting Bruce’s warning as a declaration that Clark was the love of his life, and he stared at Bruce’s affectionate, worried gaze.

Ch. 229Die Together

Heisenberg killed Miracle Grace after discovering she had controlled Clark, then used Steppenwolf to expose her identity and declared him an ally. Godfrey left Darkseid and entered the battle seeking death at Heisenberg’s hands, and the chapter ended with Heisenberg grabbing his head.

  • Heisenberg crushed Gres, killed Miracle Grace, and freed Clark from her control.
  • Heisenberg gave Miracle Grace’s remains to Scholar to study and develop protection against mental control.
  • Heisenberg announced that Steppenwolf had joined his ranks, though Steppenwolf fought Godfrey’s creatures rather than surrendering.
  • Darkseid learned of Miracle Grace’s death, and Godfrey told him he was leaving to avenge her and charge into battle.
  • Godfrey emerged through a Boom Tube on Huihe Star and asked Heisenberg to kill him; Heisenberg seized his head.

Ch. 230Piercing Huihe Star

Heisenberg killed Godfrey and ordered the scholars to study his and Gres's bodies while Darkseid watched and prepared the Dark Elite to depart for Huihe Star. As the heroes regrouped, the magnetic device pierced the planet, leaving the warriors to survey the vast passage through its core.

  • Heisenberg crushed Godfrey's head, sent his body away with Gres's corpse for study, and ordered the scholars to prepare a plan.
  • Darkseid watched the battle from Apokolips and ordered Desaad to ready the Dark Elite for departure.
  • Heisenberg asked Clark about being controlled, while Bruce questioned him and resolved to investigate how Godfrey's ability had affected him.
  • Heisenberg ordered the warriors away from the central device as the Kryptonians and other heroes cleared space around it.
  • The magnetic device pierced Huihe Star, and the survivors saw a vast passage through the planet filled with ruined structures.

Ch. 231The Big Cousin

Heisenberg and the Divine Kingdom forces faced Brainiac’s attack, while Clark confronted him and was swiftly defeated. Kara and 132 armored Kryptonians joined the battle, and Heisenberg prepared to settle accounts with Brainiac over Krypton and its stolen city.

  • Brainiac emerged in a six-kilometer spacecraft and fired an ion attack at the Divine Kingdom forces, but Heisenberg shielded them and neutralized it.
  • Clark confronted Brainiac over Krypton’s people, then attacked and was captured; Brainiac broke all four of Clark’s limbs using red-sun radiation.
  • Astra tore Clark from Brainiac’s grasp and threw him to safety, where his eight-year-old cousin Kara caught him and promised to protect him.
  • Kara flew toward Brainiac’s ship as Fiona returned with 132 armored Kryptonians, and Heisenberg led them to face Brainiac.
  • Heisenberg thanked Brainiac for preserving Kryptonians, then said he would settle the debt for the invasion and the stolen city.

Ch. 232Teaching Kryptonians How to Get Things Done

Heisenberg fought and destroyed one of Brainiac’s bodies on Huihe Star, then faced fifteen more while the Kryptonians searched for their people. As he began battling the duplicates, Darkseid opened a passage from Apokolips to Huihe Star.

  • Heisenberg seized Brainiac, burst his eye, hurled him to the ground, and stomped his head apart.
  • Brainiac’s tentacles attacked, but Little Broken Ball blocked them while Heisenberg battered Brainiac’s body with hundreds of thousands of punches.
  • Heisenberg ordered Scholar to study Brainiac’s metal, then sent Fiona and the Kryptonians to search for their people.
  • Fifteen Brainiacs emerged from the skull-shaped ship, and Heisenberg warned them he would destroy everything they owned if his people were not returned.
  • Heisenberg blocked the Brainiacs’ plasma beams and charged into battle as Darkseid began opening a passage to Huihe Star.

Ch. 233Death Was Imminent

Darkseid opened a portal to Huihe Star, where he and Heisenberg prepared to fight while Apokolips's forces attacked the planet. Mantis killed Wonder Woman, and Barry began running faster in an attempt to turn back time.

  • Darkseid told Mantis that an Old God among the Kryptonians had killed Gres and Godfrey, then opened a portal to Huihe Star.
  • Heisenberg destroyed the last Brainiac and greeted Darkseid as he emerged from the portal.
  • Desaad assigned Apokolips's forces to attack Brainiac's troops, Heisenberg's warriors, and the Kryptonians, while Mantis charged into the Amazon warriors.
  • Mantis killed more than fifty Amazons, broke Diana's wrist, stabbed her, and beheaded her.
  • Barry saw Diana's death and ran faster, determined to turn back time.

Ch. 234Heisenberg's Child

Heisenberg survived Darkseid’s Omega Ray and fought back with Gungnir while the battle spread across Huihe Star. As the heroes struggled against Apokolips’s forces, Diana was attacked again, and Kalibak chose Clark as his opponent.

  • Barry used the Speed Force to save Diana from Mantis, though Diana lost her right arm and Barry was wounded.
  • Heisenberg endured Darkseid’s Omega Ray, then hurled the tracking spear Gungnir at him.
  • Clark fought Mantis and kept him from attacking the other heroes, while Arthur was badly outmatched.
  • Granny Goodness attacked Diana, who healed her severed arm and fought back with help from Batman in Oarfish Armor.
  • Kanto claimed Barry as his prey, while Kalibak announced that he would fight Heisenberg’s child, Clark.

Ch. 235Dad, I'm Here

Kanto ambushed Barry, who inferred that the assassin’s power made him appear only when his dagger injured its target. As Heisenberg pinned Darkseid with Gungnir, Kalibak charged in and challenged Heisenberg’s son, prompting Little Broken Ball to eagerly accept.

  • Kanto crossed the teleportation passage and ambushed Barry, repeatedly cutting him with a dagger that appeared along his path.
  • Barry reasoned about Kanto’s ability, tried to strike him, and learned that he could not harm the assassin even when Kanto appeared beside him.
  • Heisenberg’s Gungnir evaded Darkseid’s grasp and nailed him to Huihe Star, while Mantis knocked Clark away to watch Darkseid suffer.
  • Desaad ordered Viman Wanderbar to enter the battlefield, but Kalibak shoved him aside and charged Heisenberg.
  • Kalibak challenged Heisenberg to send out his son, and Heisenberg sent Little Broken Ball to fight him.

Ch. 236Batman's Relief

Little Broken Ball revealed herself as Mogo and unleashed a devastating attack that shattered Huihe Star. As Heisenberg and Darkseid began fighting, Batman was relieved that the battle had not taken place on Earth.

  • Kalibak mocked Little Broken Ball for being a ball, and she asked Heisenberg if she could use more force against him.
  • Heisenberg allowed it, and Mogo blanketed Huihe Star in green light, striking Kalibak and destroying more than half the planet.
  • Heisenberg protected his warriors with his Bio-field while Huihe Star broke apart, and Darkseid charged at him instead of checking on Kalibak.
  • Heisenberg and Darkseid collided and fought, sending shockwaves through the shattered planet, while Mantis resumed attacking Clark.
  • Batman watched the battle and felt relieved that Heisenberg and Darkseid were not fighting on Earth.

Ch. 237The Fallen Dark Elite

Heisenberg and Darkseid fought in a brutal struggle while Desaad intervened to separate them and restrain their allies. Desaad then faced Heisenberg’s target-seeking Gungnir, which pursued him across universes and threatened his heart.

  • Batman ordered the Divine Kingdom troops to eliminate the remaining enemies, while Diana charged Granny Goodness and stabbed her in the chest.
  • Heisenberg and Darkseid seized each other and inflicted severe injuries as they fell from the sky.
  • Viman Wanderbar suggested Darkseid’s danger was far from over, and Desaad transferred his runes to Viman before joining the battle.
  • Desaad trapped Barry and Bzzd in a spatial barrier and separated Heisenberg from Darkseid with another barrier.
  • Heisenberg summoned a sun above Huihe Star and launched Gungnir at Desaad, whose spatial defenses failed to stop it.

Ch. 238For Apokolips

Heisenberg battled Darkseid in space while his allies fought Darkseid’s forces on Huihe Star. Desaad died after Mogo destroyed him, while Viman Wanderbar and Kanto summoned a vast Parademon army and then sealed Darkseid and his forces outside Apokolips.

  • Desaad took Heisenberg’s spear through the chest, and Darkseid charged Heisenberg while shielding himself with Omega Ray.
  • Heisenberg drew Darkseid away from Huihe Star and ordered Mogo to kill Darkseid’s subordinates.
  • Mogo burst out of Desaad’s chest after he removed the spatial barrier trapping The Flash and Bzzd; Barry learned Desaad’s apparent final words had nearly helped him escape.
  • Barry spotted that Kanto had vanished, while Bzzd joined the fight and the battle on Huihe Star continued in the heroes’ favor.
  • Viman Wanderbar summoned billions of Parademons onto Huihe Star, then Kanto destroyed the teleportation rune to seal Darkseid and the Parademons outside Apokolips.

Ch. 239D1969 Multiverse

Heisenberg and Darkseid continued their multiversal battle, trading blows while discussing the D1969 Multiverse and Heisenberg’s rapid growth. Heisenberg crushed planets and asteroids into a sphere to attack Darkseid, while Batman and the Kryptonians moved to keep Parademons from joining the fight.

  • Heisenberg and Darkseid paused their battle to discuss how little time had passed since they last met and why Apokolips had designated the universe the D1969 Multiverse.
  • Darkseid said he had renamed the universe the Heisenberg D Multiverse, and Heisenberg promised to rename it Darkseid’s Fallen Ground after defeating him.
  • Heisenberg used Universal Gravitation to draw asteroids and two moons toward Darkseid, then compressed the colliding celestial bodies into a sphere.
  • Batman witnessed Heisenberg’s power and ordered the Kryptonians to prevent Parademons from assisting Darkseid.
  • Fiona, Astra, Kara, and Norn acknowledged Batman’s order as Kryptonian warriors flew up to intercept the Parademons.

Ch. 240Kandor City Appears

As the battle against Apokolips raged across Huihe Star, Clark recovered from his fight with Mantis and searched the collapsing planet for Kandor City. He found the protected city deep underground and prepared to bring his people back.

  • Fiona and the Kryptonians fought Parademons while the Amazons, Atlanteans, and Victor defended the Divine Kingdom's formation.
  • Barry told Victor that Kanto was stalking him from another dimension, and Victor left him to face the assassin alone.
  • Diana finished Granny Goodness, while Mogo trapped Mantis and dragged him away from Huihe Star to fight in space.
  • Clark collapsed after enduring Mantis's attacks, then recovered under Heisenberg's summoned sunlight and insisted on searching for Kandor City.
  • Clark traveled deep into Huihe Star's shattered core, found Kandor City inside a small ball of light, and declared that he had come for it.

Ch. 241For Asgard!!!

Clark found Kandor City and broke its barrier, freeing its surviving Kryptonians, but the city’s expansion left him injured and the Kryptonians exposed to painful solar evolution and a Parademon attack. Heisenberg opened a passage to Marvel-19999, and Hela arrived on a dragon to attack the Parademons.

  • Clark found Kandor City beneath Huihe Star and carried it to the surface while its surviving Kryptonians waited in despair.
  • Zor-El calmed the Kryptonians and told them to secure themselves while Clark tried to free them.
  • Clark broke Kandor City’s barrier, causing the city to expand and restoring its primitive atmosphere; he crashed and lost his strength, while the Kryptonians began painfully evolving under the yellow sun.
  • Parademons swarmed Kandor City, and the distant Amazon and Atlantis forces could not reach it.
  • Heisenberg opened a passage to Marvel-19999, and Hela charged out on a dragon and attacked the Parademons in the name of Asgard.

Ch. 242You Will Die

Hela, Thor, Loki, and the Asgardian warriors joined the battle at Kandor City, where Clark recovered and helped defend the city after Mjolnir healed him. As Heisenberg continued holding Darkseid inside a shrinking sphere, he set a fifteen-minute deadline to kill him before the Kryptonians awakened.

  • Hela led the Asgardian warriors in surrounding Kandor City and keeping the Dark Parademons out.
  • Bruce identified Kandor City as the team’s target and led the Amazons and Kryptonians toward it.
  • Clark recovered after absorbing sunlight, caught Mjolnir, and was healed by its divine power before returning it to Thor.
  • Clark joined the defense of Kandor City and slaughtered Parademons as the Asgardian and Divine Kingdom forces converged.
  • Heisenberg told Darkseid that the Kryptonians would awaken in fifteen to twenty minutes and vowed to kill him within fifteen.

Ch. 243Getting Bigger? Getting Smaller? I'll Play Along!

Heisenberg fought Darkseid with a neutron sphere and then attacked him at colossal scale, but Darkseid repeatedly escaped by changing his size. Heisenberg’s flames devastated the remaining ruins of Huihe Star, while the Divine Kingdom spacecraft shielded his allies.

  • Darkseid escaped Heisenberg’s neutron sphere by using Omega Sight to tear open space, but Heisenberg pulled him back and compressed the sphere into a small, spinning projectile.
  • Darkseid grew to over three hundred thousand kilometers tall and blocked Heisenberg’s neutron sphere, losing his right hand and part of his arm before regenerating.
  • Heisenberg used the sphere, Gungnir, Heat Vision, and magma-bound Chaos Blades to attack Darkseid at close range.
  • Darkseid enlarged himself to blunt Heisenberg’s strike to his eye, so Heisenberg grew into a flaming giant over two million kilometers tall and grabbed him.
  • Darkseid shrank away from Heisenberg’s grip, and Heisenberg dispersed his flaming body, scorching and shattering the remaining ruins of Huihe Star.
  • The Divine Kingdom spacecraft enveloped Heisenberg’s allies in gravity particles, while the Parademons on Huihe Star were caught in the devastation.

Ch. 244Darkseid's Skull

Heisenberg fought Darkseid in a brutal battle that devastated Huihe Star’s star system and left both warriors gravely damaged. Heisenberg severed Darkseid’s regenerating head and trapped it in a Chaos ring, naming the new Divine Artifact “Darkseid’s Skull.”

  • Heisenberg charged Darkseid and overwhelmed him with relentless attacks, while their battle threw Huihe Star’s star system into turmoil.
  • Heisenberg and Darkseid rapidly drained their energy reserves as Heisenberg hurled crushed planets at his opponent and Darkseid drew power from Apokolips and his other multiversal selves.
  • After seven or eight minutes, nearly all of Huihe Star’s star system had been destroyed, and Darkseid asked whether Heisenberg meant to fight until both were exhausted.
  • Heisenberg pierced Darkseid’s eye sockets and blasted his brain with Heat Vision as Darkseid smashed open Heisenberg’s chest and crushed his heart.
  • Heisenberg severed Darkseid’s head, threw his body into his pocket, and used the Chaos Blades to keep cutting the regenerating head inside a magma ring.
  • Heisenberg named the new Divine Artifact “Darkseid’s Skull,” and Darkseid told him to fuck off.

Ch. 245Are You Hela, Loki's Daughter?

Heisenberg returned from defeating Darkseid to find the allied forces joking and arguing, until Hippolyta challenged Hela and revealed a confusing claim about her parentage. Superman and Thor then recognized each other as characters from comics and movies, leaving the Justice League bewildered.

  • Heisenberg carried the defeated Darkseid back to the allied forces and surveyed the surviving fighters below.
  • Hela scolded Drogon for eating Parademons, while Loki and Thor joked with her and the Justice League watched in disbelief.
  • Hippolyta approached the Asgardians and clashed with Sif and Hela over their peoples’ histories and whether they had been enemies in the war of the gods.
  • Hippolyta claimed Hela was Loki’s daughter, prompting Hela and the Asgardians to stare at Loki as he denied it and argued that Hela was his elder sister.
  • Superman and Thor recognized each other from comics and movies, and Victor confirmed that Thor and Loki were fictional characters in his database.

Ch. 246The Ones Who Always Died Were Earthlings

Heisenberg defeated Darkseid and Mantis, then returned with the warriors to Mogo planet. He discovered that people on Earth were protesting Superman and the gods over the deaths of their children.

  • Diana introduced herself to Hela, while Thor and Clark made peace after discussing their stories.
  • Bruce worried that humanity would reject a god once its outside enemies were gone.
  • Heisenberg forced the Omega Energy out of Darkseid, devoured it, and destroyed Darkseid's existence in that universe.
  • Heisenberg subdued Mogo, pursued and killed Mantis, then returned with Mogo and the warriors to Earth.
  • Heisenberg saw protesters in Metropolis blaming Superman and the gods for the deaths of Earthling children.

Ch. 247Why Don't You Just Die

Heisenberg defended Clark against the Metropolis protesters and stopped Fiona from carrying out a deadly order, giving Clark three minutes to handle the crisis. Clark went to apologize to the bereaved families, but they struck him as Lois realized that Superman had died in the hearts of Metropolis's people.

  • A mother told reporters she blamed neither Clark nor Superman for her child’s death but wanted him to face the families’ grief, and Clark recognized the incident had happened while he was training on Themyscira.
  • Heisenberg told Clark he was not responsible for the kindergarten fire and condemned him for apologizing, then ordered Fiona to eliminate the protesters.
  • Clark’s sudden surge of power prompted Heisenberg to recall Fiona and give Clark three minutes to resolve the situation; Clark flew to Metropolis with Bruce.
  • Bruce left to fetch equipment, while Clark approached the bereaved families and apologized for arriving too late to save their child.
  • Lois tried to stop Clark, but a grieving mother slapped him and protesters struck him with signs and their hands.

Ch. 248The Shepherd

Clark tried to protect Lois from the violent crowd, but she revealed that she was pregnant and urged him to leave. Bruce intervened to disperse the marchers, then Fiona arrived with over 130,000 Kryptonians and declared that humanity needed a shepherd.

  • The crowd attacked Clark and Lois, and Clark shielded her while refusing to retaliate against the people who had once called him Superman.
  • Lois told Clark she was pregnant, and he reacted with astonishment as they prepared to escape.
  • Bruce fired missiles carrying Kryptonite mist, sent aircraft and armored vehicles against the crowd, and used bats to drive thousands of marchers away.
  • As the crowd continued fighting and fleeing, Bruce descended among them and tried to clear the grounds before Heisenberg's deadline.
  • Fiona led more than 130,000 Kryptonians from the castle, and they used Heat Vision to destroy the people near Clark while leaving him and Lois unharmed.
  • Fiona announced that His Majesty would claim the land and called humanity a flock that needed a shepherd.

Ch. 249You Are the Shepherd I Chose

Bruce confronted Heisenberg over the massacre and the Kryptonians’ conquest of Earth, then entered the divine kingdom to demand an explanation. Heisenberg revealed that he had chosen Bruce to govern humanity as its shepherd, leaving Bruce to decide whether he would accept the burden.

  • Bruce confronted Fiona with Kryptonite, but she and the Kryptonian forces spread across Earth to seize military bases while Hela and Hippolyta’s armies occupied Metropolis.
  • Lois reassured the guilt-ridden Clark that the kindergarten fire and the deaths were not his fault, and Bruce told Clark to leave with her before heading to the divine kingdom.
  • Clark offered to accompany Bruce, but Bruce reminded him that he was also a Kryptonian and charged toward the castle alone.
  • Hippolyta let Bruce pass into the divine kingdom, where he accused Heisenberg of testing him and condemned him for killing tens of thousands.
  • Heisenberg showed Bruce the American leaders blaming one another and explained that he had chosen Bruce to govern humanity, bear its praise and blame, and keep it safe.

Ch. 250I Am Batman!!!

Bruce accepted Heisenberg’s demand to take responsibility for Earth, choosing to rule through Wayne Enterprises rather than act as Batman. After Heisenberg’s Kryptonians dismantled Earth’s weapons and satellites, Bruce revealed his identity to humanity and declared, “I am Batman!!!”

  • Clark asked Heisenberg to let Lois and Martha live in the Divine Kingdom, and Heisenberg agreed, welcoming Lois and Clark’s mother and farmhouse.
  • Bruce stopped Clark from asking what Heisenberg wanted for Earth, then accepted Heisenberg’s trust and responsibility for its future.
  • Heisenberg’s Kryptonians destroyed Earth’s weapons and satellites, while Bruce promised to build Wayne Enterprises into Earth’s armed power and replace the destroyed satellites.
  • Bruce removed his Batman mask and left the Divine Kingdom, and Heisenberg sent Clark to protect him and bring Martha to safety.
  • Bruce returned to his cave, worked with Alfred to launch bat-symbol satellites, and broadcast his unmasked identity to humanity, declaring, “I am Batman!!!”

Ch. 251Shazam

Bruce consolidated control of Earth and planned to dismantle its old power structures, accepting that humanity’s future depended on following Heisenberg’s orders. Meanwhile, Heisenberg organized life in his divine kingdom before a meeting with Wizard Shazam interrupted his visit to Clark.

  • Bruce ruled Earth through broadcasts and former Wayne Enterprises employees, while releasing footage of the Metropolis massacre to discourage resistance.
  • Bruce told Alfred he planned to topple financial dynasties and even Wayne Enterprises so humanity could unite under a new order.
  • Alfred warned Bruce that people would soon hate him, but Bruce embraced the burden as the best available Plan B against cosmic threats.
  • Heisenberg assigned living areas to the Amazons and Atlanteans, planned Asgard’s district on Mogo with Hela, and visited Clark and Lois.
  • As Heisenberg left Clark’s home, the surroundings changed, and he found Wizard Shazam waiting in a gloomy hall beside the Seven Deadly Sins statues.
