Inside the Kryptonian Spaceship that had lain dormant on Earth for over eighteen thousand years, Luthor and Superman stood face to face.
In the water behind them, a massive embryo writhed incessantly, the monster brewing within it ready to burst forth.
"What is that?"
Superman felt no fear of the monster; after all, he was simply too strong. How could a powerhouse be intimidated by just any creature?
Faced with Superman's indifference, Luthor was filled with intense indignation, a rage stemming largely from Superman's disregard for him.
He raised his injured hand, tearing away the bandages as he roared with a mix of excitement and trepidation.
"That is a deformed monster of ancient Krypton, blood of my blood, and your Doomsday!"
Snap!
The four-meter-diameter embryo shattered instantly, and a pair of massive, black hands reached out from within.
The hands tore the fetal membrane to shreds before pulling the rest of the body out.
Suddenly, a black monster over five meters tall appeared in Superman's field of vision.
To everyone's surprise, Superman was not afraid, but rather, somewhat curious.
This curiosity even made him briefly forget his hatred for Luthor.
Superman asked softly.
"Is that all? What about the other one? The smaller one?"
"Hm? Which one?"
Even Luthor was taken aback by Superman's question. He instinctively looked back at the water, but in the now blood-red genetic fluid, there was nothing else to be seen!
Yet, Superman was absolutely certain of his judgment. Although he could not see the exact location of the thing, he clearly heard a fourth heartbeat in the room!
He pointed at Doomsday, who was currently tearing the slime from his body.
"Right beneath this big guy, something woke up with him. Did you wrap it in lead?"
As he asked, Superman tapped his own ear.
"I don't know what you're hiding, but I'm sorry. While I can't see through your design, I can hear that thing's heartbeat!"
The moment he finished speaking, Superman clearly heard that heartbeat become slightly erratic.
Beneath the water, inside another small, almost imperceptible biological cocoon, a man encased in thick ice wore an expression of helplessness.
That man was Heisenberg, the ninth-generation scion of the Lao Hai family on Earth.
He was also a transmigrator in the current DC cinematic universe!
Two years ago...
Inside the ancient Kryptonian Spaceship, a figure in armor was saying something to another individual dressed in robes.
"Jor-El, my information has overridden your control of this ship. You have lost your authorization."
"Yes, everything is about to go as you wish, but I believe in my son. He will defeat you, Zod!"
"Is that so? A person raised on a farm by Earthlings, who has never experienced the training of war, will defeat me—a general who has endured countless fires of battle?"
Listening to his old friend Jor-El, General Zod laughed ruthlessly.
"Only a traitor like you could speak such naive words. Goodbye."
Click!
Zod inserted the command key fully into the console, and Jor-El's projection shattered instantly.
With that detestable fellow gone, Zod turned his gaze to the ship's database; he desperately needed to find the Codex he had dreamed of.
Only by finding the Codex could Zod reshape his race and make the name of the Kryptonians ring throughout the universe once more.
Unfortunately, he was ultimately disappointed.
The Codex had not been hidden here by that damned Kal-El.
However, as if by a miracle, although there was no Codex, Zod still discovered something.
Or rather, someone.
"General Zod, please do not make any contact with the criminal buried within the ship!"
"Reminder again, General Zod, contact with the prisoner confined within the ship is forbidden!"
When Zod focused his view on the ship's oldest and most primitive operational data, the ship's AI attempted to stop him with those words.
This left Zod deeply puzzled. There was actually a criminal here?
"Retrieve the criminal's file. Why did neither Jor-El nor Kal-El know about this prisoner?"
"General, the Academy of Sciences Leader Jor-El had also accessed the criminal's information, but he buried it before Kal-El could discover it!"
"Hm? He did that? Forget it, pull up the file!" General Zod nodded and said.
"Yes. The criminal is named Heisenberg, 64th Elder Council Member of Krypton, the final executor of Operation: Glory, and an executioner who slaughtered over seven hundred of his own kind. The charge is treason."
The moment the spaceship's AI finished speaking, Zod's eyes widened.
He couldn't help but recall that massacre from long ago!
Once upon a time, Krypton was obsessed with external expansion. Endless numbers of Kryptonians ran rampant across the universe, treating conquest as a glory and naming it Operation: Glory.
But that operation ceased eighteen thousand years ago.
Eighteen thousand years ago, a Kryptonian Elder named Heisenberg led the Academy of Sciences to break the rules Krypton had followed for a hundred thousand years, conducting in-depth research into the secrets of the Kryptonian bloodline.
And that wasn't all!
To accelerate the development of other planets in the universe, Elder Heisenberg even developed a monster based on Kryptonian genes, fused with a variety of mutated genes.
Those monsters were uncontrollable. They caused massive chaos on Krypton, and at least one-third of the Kryptonian population perished in the slaughter they unleashed.
The method for creating those monsters was sealed away by Krypton, and the name Krypton gave to the creatures was Doomsday.
After that, Elder Heisenberg lost his long-held status and was hunted by the Kryptonian Guard.
But as the leader of both the Kryptonian Academy of Sciences and the Kryptonian military at the time, Heisenberg's personal combat prowess created countless troubles for those attempting to arrest him!
At the cost of over seven hundred Kryptonian lives, Heisenberg was imprisoned and, in accordance with the laws of the time, sent into a random-jump spaceship with no return path, launched into the far reaches of space.
Operation: Glory ended there, and Krypton never dared to conduct research into genetics again.
Their fear of the potential for genetic mutation was so great that they no longer allowed children to be born naturally.
After all, natural birth brought infinite possibilities to life.
From then on, they sealed every excellent Kryptonian gene into a database, forming the Codex that has been passed down to this day.
Every child was born by selecting corresponding information from the Codex, cultivated by the exclusive Kryptonian Genesis Chamber, harvested by Kryptonian Scavenger Beasts, and raised in the Kryptonian Nurseries.
In short, Heisenberg, who caused Zod such immense conflict, was the Elder once most hated by Kryptonians, and the very creator of Krypton's greatest catastrophe.
Even though Zod now needed the strength of every Kryptonian, he dared not release Heisenberg from his cage.
He shook his head.
"Keep him imprisoned!"
"Yes!"
One day ago...
Alexander Luthor, the new leader of LuthorCorp, arrived at the Kryptonian spaceship now heavily surrounded by the US Government, carrying a box containing five pieces of fingertip skin.
This Kryptonian spaceship crashed during the Superman incident two years ago, and ever since Superman shot it down, it had remained right there.
If this ship didn't want to fly, Earth technology had absolutely no way to move it.
Luthor slowly pressed the fingertip skin onto his own fingers. These five pieces of skin were what he had cut from General Zod's remains using Kryptonite.
And this allowed him to enter the ship's current command room.
Walking all the way to the ship's core, under the guidance of the intelligent system, Luthor contentedly obtained control permissions for the ship.
He placed Zod's remains into a small Genesis Chamber that looked like a pool of water, then cut his own hand, letting his blood flow onto General Zod.
The Genesis Chamber began to work at his command; the monster fusing the genes of General Zod and Alexander Luthor was about to be born.
Countless energy surged toward the spaceship, and half of America's electricity was ruthlessly plundered by this ancient Kryptonian vessel.
But Luthor did not know.
Along with the massive gathering of energy, the ancient Kryptonian buried within the ship also regained his life.
Before Heisenberg had even fully awakened, a hollow voice already echoed in his mind.
"Multiverse plane bound. Bound entity: Origin Earth soul Heisenberg. Bound body: DC Universe Kryptonian Elder Heisenberg. Identity merging in progress."
Everything above was nonsense. In short, Heisenberg was awake—thoroughly awake!
At the same time, countless pieces of information and memories made him understand what he had encountered!
"Tsk tsk, I lost two hundred and thirty thousand in a card game last night, got excited, and had a heart attack..."
"Dead?"
"Transmigrated into the freaking DC World?"
"I am now the last hawk-faction Elder of Krypton, the Kryptonian Heisenberg?"
"I was banished, imprisoned, for eighteen thousand years!!!"
"And now I'm alive again, on Earth in DC?"
"Heh..."
Heisenberg smiled silently. He finally realized what he possessed.
Kryptonian!
That was the bloodline of Superman, a figure worshipped by countless people.
Indestructible strength, a body nearly immune to all harm, Heat Vision, Freeze Breath, speed approaching the speed of light, the ability to fly freely, and various abilities that could be described as idealistic!
With such power in the Marvel Universe, aside from a few select Mages, he would be invincible!!!
Why be a coward anymore? He could no longer be content with the status quo, living like a corporate slave, haha!
Having figured everything out, Heisenberg immediately wanted to break free from his restraints. He wanted to enjoy life; he had to enjoy life!
In the past, whether it was the wealthy or the officials.
Or his boss, his clients.
Heisenberg had not dared to disobey a single word from those people.
Even if they threw Heisenberg's dignity onto the ground and trampled on it, Heisenberg had to smile and praise them for a job well done!
He would say they trampled with such vigor, and that they clearly looked to be in good health.
But now, as a Kryptonian, Heisenberg wanted to say one thing to everyone: everything you possess is nothing but a fart!
Only a fist is the hard truth, and possessing these Kryptonian fists, I am the hardest truth of all, the absolute truth!
Who else!!!
Who else could make me bow my head?
Who else could make me act against my will?
Who else...?!!
Wait!
Heisenberg froze.
As the solid ice melted and the space-time material Krypton used to imprison criminals dissipated, Heisenberg finally saw his surroundings clearly.
He had, of course, watched Superman vs. Batman; he knew where he was, and therefore, he was even more aware of what the black monster glaring down at him from above was!
"Doomsday!"
Heisenberg instantly lost his nerve.
"System, come out! Why was I resurrected alongside Doomsday? I'm just an ordinary, weak, and powerless Kryptonian!"
"I haven't even basked in Earth's yellow sun yet! I can't fly, I don't have Heat Vision—what do you expect me to use to deal with Doomsday!"
"Superman, who had been basking in the sun for over thirty years, was killed by Doomsday. What can I do? Hide?"
"I'd love to hide, but the problem is I can't even move right now, and Doomsday has already locked his eyes on me!"
"At least let me move! I'll just nudge a little, just one bit, just one!!!"
That's right!!!
At this moment, Doomsday had also discovered Heisenberg, who was buried deep within the genesis chamber.
In Doomsday's eyes, the attraction of Superman nearby was not as great as this strange fellow creature below.
After all, a day ago, the infant Doomsday had already sensed that there was an existence he found incredibly repulsive, constantly stealing the energy he used for his own creation!
Thus, Doomsday reached out a massive hand and scooped up the space-time material encasing Heisenberg.
The originally impenetrable space-time material was melting rapidly, and Heisenberg's face gradually appeared within Superman's sight.
"What the hell is this? Another Kryptonian?"
Luthor's voice, filled with surprise and fear, rang out incessantly.
But Heisenberg had no ability to answer.
The space-time material had not yet fully dissipated, and he couldn't even move; he could only watch as Doomsday gripped him and squeezed down with brutal force!
"Ahhh, you son of a bitch, if you have the guts, let me out of this thing first! I'll carve you to death, you bastard!!!"
Wrapped in the space-time material and unable to move, a silent wail echoed in Heisenberg's mind.
Pain, excruciating pain.
At the very moment he successfully transmigrated and was reborn, he was about to die.
Just like that?
"Detection complete. Host is about to suffer fatal damage. Advancing host's work schedule, randomly selecting a work universe for deployment."
"Work location selected: Marvel Universe, Earth-19999."
"Stabilizing host's basic space-time, beginning work deployment. We hope the host will begin work as soon as possible and contribute to the sustainable development of the multiverse!"
"Deployment complete!"
In a mere instant, Heisenberg emerged from the pain and found himself appearing in the vacuum of space.
And before him lay that incredibly beautiful Earth...
