"Nalan Family?" Nether Son's lips curled. "You mean that family that keeps producing oddballs?"
The Nalan Family had made a name for itself. Their legends were known throughout the High-Level Heavenly Vault, and plenty of people in the Dark World discussed them, too.
It was their distinctive ways that made them impossible to forget.
Dao Wushuang nodded. "But it's only a guess. I can't be sure. That Saintess lived a long time ago, and no portraits of her have survived. I've never seen her, either."
Tianming Wuji thought for a moment. "Now that you mention it, I do remember something. That Saintess of the Nalan Family was famous in her era. None of the Black Dragon Clan's prodigies of her generation could match her. She even had a chance of becoming the greatest Heavenly Prodigy of her age."
Dao Wushuang looked toward the female corpse in the distance. "She must have been exceptionally gifted, or the ancient records would hardly mention her at all. But we can't be sure she's the same person. I can only say that they're certainly alike when it comes to stubbornness."
Tianming Wuji said, "There's also a huge difference in cultivation. When she left her family, she had probably only recently broken through to the middle stage of the Quasi-Hegemon Level. The female corpse's cultivation had surpassed the first step. If she really is that Saintess, then she probably didn't come here right after leaving home."
There was a vast gap between the middle stage of the Quasi-Hegemon Level and the Hegemon Grade. Bridging it would take a long time.
"So, why did that Saintess argue with her elders back then?" Nether Son asked curiously, practically bursting with eagerness for gossip.
"That, I don't really know." Tianming Wuji shook his head.
Dao Wushuang didn't know,
