"This is a carefully laid trap by the High-Level Heavenly Vault. If you stand with me, aren't you afraid of provoking everyone's wrath?" Hua Yunfei asked with a smile.
"Afraid?"
Dao Wushuang chuckled. "Did you get that backward, fellow Daoist? Hahaha, just kidding. Put it that way, and now that I think about it, making enemies of too many people at once really might not be a good idea."
"Maybe you'd better not go. If you fail to stop me, I don't want you getting blamed for leading me into a trap."
Hua Yunfei glanced at Dao Wushuang. "I really can't tell which of your words are true and which are false."
Dao Wushuang took a swig of wine. "Whether they're true or false, you're clever enough to tell, aren't you? Or can't you tell—or are you pretending you can't so you can trick me into talking?"
Hua Yunfei shook his head with a smile. "I'm not that calculating. I've always treated my friends with sincerity."
"I like the sound of that." Dao Wushuang nodded with a grin and held out his wine gourd to Hua Yunfei. "Here, have a drink. I've already had some, but you don't mind, do you?"
"We're both grown men. Why would I care?" Hua Yunfei replied with a light laugh, snatching up the gourd and tipping it back for a hearty swig.
A little while later, when Hua Yunfei still showed no sign of stopping, Dao Wushuang started to get "anxious." "Hey, don't drink it all! Leave me a few mouthfuls!"
Nether Son and Tianming Wuji exchanged a look and tutted. "You two are clearly on opposite sides. How can you be so close in private? If I didn't know you both, I'd almost think you had something going on between you."
"Good wine."
