Tina looked up at the towering structure, unable to keep herself from being drawn in by it.

Against the dark sky, the lofty tower, a structure built a thousand years ago, stood before Tina's eyes, looking ancient and weathered. The entire building was a representative Angkor-era tower, its structure displaying distinct Khmer Culture architectural characteristics. It was covered in carvings of Buddha, stood over two hundred meters tall, and measured nearly fifty meters across at its base.

Like Angkor Wat aboveground, the central tower structure also had three levels. However, it differed from the surface structure in that every level here used brown sandstone as its base layer. The bottom two levels of the tower were square in design.

The four sides of each square were still covered with carved murals, stone statues, and other decorations, forming a circle around it. They were exquisitely made. Yet despite their beauty, these Buddha statues gave off a sense of decay, especially in this place filled with a cold, sinister aura.

In truth, everyone felt the same way upon seeing this temple.

Especially the third layer of the temple, the section known as Bakan in Khmer Culture, which differed from the Bakan aboveground. In Khmer Culture, Bakan was an imported Buddhist architectural style, generally shaped with four upturned corners.

However, this section of Bakan had eight corners. Each level narrowed slightly toward the center, rising layer by layer to form a tiered structure.

At the pointed corners of each level stood a stone Buddha carving. These carvings were four-armed Vishnu statues! One hand of each statue held a suspended bronze bell.
