After waiting for over ten minutes, William received everyone's ammunition reports. Each team member reported to their squad leader, or directly to William if they had none. He recorded everything in a small notebook he carried with him, and one sheet of paper was enough to tally nearly all of it.
The ammunition tally showed that the entire group had already used nearly half of their ammunition. It was truly disheartening. No one had expected the ammunition consumption to be so severe. No wonder Tra had asked for an ammunition count; he must have realized this already.
"Tra, take a look at the report. All the ammunition has been counted!" William handed the sheet to Tra.
After reading the report, Tra's brows drew together. It was indeed about what he had expected. Based on the numbers, the situation was not too terrible. "There are too many monsters, and there are no supplies at all. Once ammunition is used, it is gone; there is no way to replenish it! We don't know where the end of this mission is or how much farther we need to go. If we keep facing endless monsters, we may eventually end up with no ammunition left at all."
William frowned as well when he heard that. This was not an easy problem to solve.
"From now on, pass on my order: conserve ammunition."
"Understood!"
