"Damn it!" Tra had already begun observing through his binoculars, so he could clearly see what was moving toward them! The others did the same, using their binocular equipment to see what was approaching.

The War Elephants and heavy infantry advancing toward them were all clad in full armor, wrapped up so tightly that very little skin was exposed. Even the War Elephants wore armor. Only the lower parts of their hind legs were exposed, along with their trunks—but their trunks were curled up now, making them impossible to see.

Thump! Thump! ...! Accompanied by those sounds, the War Elephants and heavy infantry advanced toward Chen Mo.

As the War Elephants drew nearer, Chen Mo realized they were not the kind he had imagined, made entirely of bones. Like the previous Monsters, they were made of dried flesh, and their eyes still glowed a ghostly blue.

Besides the thick armor covering their bodies, each war elephant carried a howdah on its back with four people inside. All four wore light armor that protected their vital areas. One sat in front, responsible for controlling the elephant. Two sat behind him, holding long spears. Behind those two was another person holding a bow, apparently responsible for long-range attacks.

They had a driver, close-range attackers, and a ranged attacker. Just like a modern tank, their setup was highly practical.

Because the four soldiers atop the War Elephants wore light armor, much of their bodies remained exposed. From a distance, they looked like mummies, their skin entirely blackened.

Yet their blackened skin and the dried flesh clinging to their bones did not prevent them from controlling the War Elephants. They remained poised for battle, their ghostly blue eyes
