The spider cave ahead had been about half the size of a football field, but this cave was as large as ten football fields. Moreover, there was no support whatsoever on the ceiling, yet it had neither collapsed nor shed any falling rocks. It was unimaginable.
The entire Underground Space was astonishing, making them feel an urge to uncover all its secrets.
"Stop advancing!" Tra shouted over the comms, ordering everyone to stay alert. He then took out an Illumination Flare and fired it ahead. The cave before them was completely dark, and their Headlamps could not illuminate very far, so he used the flare to check the situation ahead.
"Bang!"
After launching into the air, the Illumination Flare slowly drifted downward. During that time, everyone stared ahead. About a hundred meters away stood a stone door much like the one leading from the Spider Cave into the Soldier Hiding Cave. It bore the distinctive style of the Angkor Dynasty, with the same corridor-like structure and a double-leaf stone door of roughly the same height and width.
The sharp "smack!" echoed clearly through the cave.
The Illumination Flare struck the cliff wall opposite them, then tumbled down. A distance of just over a hundred meters was rather short. Tra had used a small-caliber Illumination Flare, which could remain airborne for over twenty seconds, enough to cover a distance of roughly four to five hundred meters.
But unexpectedly, it had hit the cliff wall, leaving them less than a few seconds to observe.
Still, those few seconds had been enough for Tra and the others to clearly see everything ahead. There were no Monsters or anything similar, only a path extending toward a Stone Gate.
"All right, maintain formation and continue forward!" Tra said, waving to all the Team Members.
