By the time the Ability Users began fighting, Tra had already led all the Team Members to the end of the passage, where another stone door passage stood before them. This stone door was no different from the one at the Soldier Hiding Cave.
However, Tra did not inspect the Stone Gate closely. Instead, he turned to look back. From a distance, he could see the Ability Users apparently locked in battle, using all kinds of abilities against the vast swarm of Black Beetles. Since they were over a hundred meters away, Tra used binoculars and saw everything clearly.
There was plenty of fluorescent lighting throughout the golden cavern, along with several emergency rechargeable lamps that were still lit. After seeing all that gold, everyone had wanted more light to get a better look at it.
Now, those lights provided illumination for all the Ability Users and gave the mercenaries a clear view as well.
All the other mercenaries looked back at the dense mass of Black Beetles surging toward the Ability Users like a tide, and they all felt a wave of relief mixed with lingering fear. If not for the Illusion Realm, and if they had not been injured, they should have been over there right now. Of the thirty of them, perhaps half would already have died.
The Black Beetles were too small; bullets could not eliminate them quickly enough. If even one slipped through, it meant certain death! The Black Beetles were poisonous. That was experience the mercenaries and several Ability Users had bought with their lives.
Although their heads still hurt badly, many mercenaries could not help sighing to themselves. This disaster had turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
