With a thunderous crash, the entire barrage was blocked just before it reached the four armored guards. What shocked everyone even more was the manner in which their attacks had been stopped.
All the Ability Users' attacks were blocked by an unseen force, creating something like a spherical standoff. On one side, ability attacks exploded violently against the sphere's surface; on the other, the spherical defense remained utterly unmoved. It was like a hemisphere covering the ground, protecting the four armored guards and the Golden Armored Man within.
"Mental Power Field!"
Tina nearly cried out. She had never expected there to be a Mental Power Field here! Even for her, deploying one was currently difficult, because a single Mental Power Field would consume a third of her abilities.
That was why she would not use a Mental Power Field lightly.
The Mental Power Field was arguably her best defensive measure at present. It was also the greatest means of self-preservation for an S-Class Psychic Ability User. Once deployed, it could withstand 3S-Class attacks and was incredibly powerful. However, its consumption was also enormous. Not only did it consume a third of her ability when activated, it also continuously consumed ability while defending against attacks. The stronger the attack it received, the more ability it consumed.
Thus, when Tina had been attacked earlier, she would rather use life-saving supplementary defenses than use her Mental Power Field. Once she used it, her psychic ability would be nearly depleted, leaving her unable to attack or defend.
Yet now, she saw the Golden Armored Man directly deploy a Mental Power Field and block all the Ability Users' attacks. How could she not be shocked?
Did the Golden Armored Man not know that a Mental Power Field consumed enormous amounts of ability? If he used
