Uncle Delin glanced at Chen Mo, then took off his reading glasses and set them on the desk before saying, "Kid, did you come to ask about the background of the fellow next door?"
On the second floor of the Village Committee Office Building, the Village Chief and Village Party Secretary had their offices on the same floor. Uncle Delin's office was right beside the Village Chief's, as had always been the arrangement, and nothing had changed now. However, Chen Mo had passed by the Village Chief's office when he came over. It was empty and locked, so he had not gone in.
He was not very familiar with the inside, either. Back when it had been vacant, it had been covered in a thick layer of dust and no one had cleaned it. He had no idea what it looked like now.
"Ha! Uncle Delin, you really are something!" Chen Mo said, giving him a thumbs-up.
"Hehe! Do you even need to tell me that?!" Uncle Delin said with a smug grin.
After they had finished laughing and flattering each other, Chen Mo said, "Uncle Delin, do you know the background of that fellow next door? If you do, tell me about it!"
"What's wrong? Is there a problem?"
"What else could it be? I just got back and called my sister and Da Hai over to discuss some matters. I didn't expect this Guo Hua to come knocking," Chen Mo said.
"Oh? Did he say anything?" Uncle Delin asked.
"Not really. He just exchanged some pleasantries. Then I used having business to attend to as an excuse and didn't continue talking with him," Chen Mo said.
"Hehe, you were still a little too impatient," Uncle Delin said.
"Impatient? Does this Guo Hua have a problem?" Chen Mo asked.
