Clang!

The star-spangled shield, its center emblazoned with a red star, slammed heavily into the transparent barrier. Old Rogers curled himself into a ball with practiced ease, letting the Vibranium Shield absorb as much of the impact from his fall as possible. His ordinary old-man's shirt had been torn in several places during the fight, revealing the aged but sturdy body beneath.

The first thing Old Rogers saw when he opened his eyes was the enormous Dragon Bone floating inside the transparent enclosure. Before he could examine it closely, seven thick strands of non-Newtonian fluid bound him tight as a bundle.

"So he's not that strong after all."

Vanax turned a Symbiote tendril into a sharp spike and easily carved a scar into Old Rogers's face as he cursed and struggled against his bonds. Bright red blood slowly seeped from the wound. She shot Cheetah a disdainful glance. "He's just an ordinary man who's a little stronger than most. How could you fail to subdue him right away?"

"You don't understand."

Cheetah picked up the shield from the ground. As Old Rogers glared at him as if his eyes could shoot flames, Cheetah slipped it onto his left arm. He clenched his right fist, and the Symbiote Suit formed exaggerated muscles over his right arm. Countless taut, threadlike fibers surged into action. The instant he threw his punch, it even produced a small sonic boom!

Clang!

Shack and the others stared in amazement. Under a blow that powerful, Cheetah's left arm, which wasn't covered by the Symbiote, hadn't moved an inch! There was nothing wrong with Cheetah, so the problem had to be that perfectly undamaged shield!

"This shield absorbs any impact. Old Rogers used it to block most of my attacks."

Cheetah removed the shield from his left arm
