Background / History

Vanax was originally Phoenix, a giant bird and one of Yuri's remaining Mutant subordinates. Yuri's first uncertain Celestial-based modification successfully reshaped her into a human woman, granting her the name Vanax Ambrosius and requiring her to adapt to human life. 19

She returned with Yuri, Shark, Tiger, Cheetah, and Kate to the Ancestor's Handicraft Shop, where Yuri taught the group human customs, language, restraint, and the need to suppress their violent instincts. Vanax immediately stood out for her constant questions, including whether Yuri would pay them a salary and whether intentional killing was permitted. 19

Though initially inexperienced with human society, she learned to control her strength, studied Inuit, and completed a lengthy handwritten translation overnight. 22 23 28

Appearance
