Deep within the underground cavern.
"Very soon, very soon I'll see you again, Rin, Kakashi!" Uchiha Obito lay on a crude wooden bed, staring at the uneven ceiling, his single eye filled with excitement and anticipation.
After living without sunlight for who knew how long, he had truly had enough.
Just thinking about soon returning to the surface and seeing Rin, Kakashi, and Teacher Minato again made him so elated he wanted to dance with joy.
But,
The next moment,
White Zetsu's head emerged from the wall. The instant he appeared, he shouted, "Obito, this is bad! I just went out for a look and found that the companions you mentioned, Rin and Kakashi, are in danger. Mist ninja are chasing them down!"
"What?"
Uchiha Obito sprang to his feet and looked up at the familiar White Zetsu. He urgently demanded, "Tobi, what happened? Rin and Kakashi are in danger? What about Teacher Minato? Where is Teacher Minato?"
"I didn't see the Teacher Minato you mentioned."
The White Zetsu called Tobi shook his head and crawled out of the wall. "I watched for a while and found that your two companions are in a very dangerous situation. The Mist ninja are relentlessly pursuing them. If no one goes to support them, they're afraid to be finished!"
"Damn it!"
Uchiha Obito's expression changed drastically. He glanced at the wall Tobi had emerged from, then suddenly rushed forward and smashed his fist into it. With a bang, the wall caved in, spiderweb-like cracks spreading across its surface.

That was all. The damage was insignificant; instead, the pale, patched-together right half of Uchiha Obito's body began showing signs of melting and collapse.

Uchiha Obito anxiously paced in circles, paying no heed to the right side of his body
