He glanced around at the grim-faced commanders in the tent. "Rather than worry about the enemy's tactics, we should clear out the vermin hiding among us first. There may be more spies here than you can imagine."
"White Zetsu?" Sakumo understood at once. "I've only been at this outpost for two weeks, so I'm not entirely sure what's going on here."
Before arriving, he had already learned through an Intelligence Bird what Sen had done at the main camp.
"That's right," Sen said. "We deal with the White Zetsu in this outpost first. Otherwise, every word we say and every decision we make will reach the enemy immediately."
His words exploded like a bomb inside the small command tent!
Every ninja present caught their breath.
They instinctively looked at their comrades. The trust born of fighting side by side crumbled, replaced by wariness, suspicion, and a trace of fear from deep within.
