He walked over to the person who'd been with Yoshinari Uchiha.
He reached out, intending to pat the other boy on the shoulder.
The moment the boy saw Toneri's hand, he reacted as if he'd just spotted some ancient beast.
He tried to dodge the hand, the way Kushina had, but then he saw Toneri smiling at him. The threat behind that smile was impossible to miss.
His body, already poised to dodge, immediately decided to stay put.

Toneri patted the boy's shoulder with satisfaction.
Then, ever so casually, he rubbed his index and middle fingers against the boy's clothes. The boy's face crumpled into an expression of utter despair.
Toneri didn't care. He turned and slung an arm around the boy's shoulders, placing his other hand on the opposite shoulder.
From the corner of the boy's eye, he could see Toneri "discreetly" wiping his hand clean.
"Take
