Yamamoto defended Yan Si against Central 46’s demand that he be imprisoned in Muken, while the Tsunayashiro Clan began plotting to use Squad Zero against him. As Yan Si’s actions earned the Tenth Division goodwill in Rukongai, he and Hirako Shinji headed to witness Hikifune Kirio’s promotion.

• Yamamoto told Central 46 that he saw nothing wrong with Yan Si’s actions and warned the councilors that the Gotei 13 would protect him.
• Councilor Tsunayashiro demanded twenty years of imprisonment in Muken for Yan Si, but Yamamoto challenged them to arrest him themselves.
• Motonari and the Tsunayashiro Clan discussed Yan Si’s strength and decided to exploit Squad Zero’s upcoming visit for Hikifune Kirio’s promotion.
• A Tenth Division member reported that people in Runlin An and Rukongai praised the division, and Yan Si sent him back to training.
• Hirako Shinji joined Yan Si on his way to see Squad Zero descend from the Royal Palace.

Yan Si exposed and killed Tsunayashiro Tokinada, then clashed with Squad Zero over Enrakyōten and was imprisoned in Muken for attacking them. In Muken, he resolved to wait for his seal to fade and eventually reshape Soul Society.

• Yan Si detected a hidden seventh person at Hikifune Kirio’s farewell and killed Tsunayashiro Tokinada, ending the illusions that had made the captains attack him.
• Yan Si claimed Enrakyōten as his spoils, used it to unleash Ryūjin Jakka against Tenjirō Kirinji, and turned his attention toward the Tsunayashiro Clan’s estate.
• Ichibē Hyōsube drained Yan Si’s Spiritual Power and blackened Enrakyōten, while Kirinji restrained him and carried him away to Muken for one hundred years.
• In Muken, Yan Si told Chiziro Sochika that he believed his actions were right and began waiting for his seal to heal.
• Yan Si planned to train in Muken until future upheavals involving Aizen and Yhwach allowed him to escape and reshape Soul Society.
