The Shattered Dragon Bones
Bi Fan lifted his head, filled with anticipation. Ahead, the earth and rock were no longer their original yellow-brown color. Instead, they had become dark, black mud streaked with red, and a faint, lingering pressure came toward him.
He frowned in puzzlement and looked at Xuan Chen. "Why does it feel like there's a blood scent? Is dragon blood mixed into this mud?"
Xuan Chen seemed surprised as well. He stared blankly for a moment before slowly shaking his head. "I can't explain it either. I left the Dragon Race very early on for certain reasons, and I know nothing about what happened after that."
Seeing this, Bi Fan stopped asking questions and merely examined the place with curiosity. "Is this the place you said we should visit first? A secret place of the Dragon Race?"
Xuan Chen gave a low hum, then asked in a subdued voice, "Does Lord Bi Fan still remember the Dragon Burial Mound I mentioned that day?"
"Of course." Bi Fan nodded and looked up. The black-and-red rock walls seemed completely impenetrable. They hardly looked like a blessed resting place where the Dragon Race's remains had been buried, and he couldn't help asking in confusion, "Is this the Dragon Burial Mound?"
"Yes." Xuan Chen gave a bitter smile. "Though I haven't been back in many years, I wouldn't mistake its location. This was once the entrance. It probably ended up like this because the Dragon Vein's fortune dried up and the Devil Race and Void Creatures invaded."
Bi Fan silently clenched his fists, a heavy, stifling sorrow welling up inside him that he couldn't put into words.
