Dragon God Descends
Bi Fan crouched silently beneath the towering wall, not saying a word for a long, long time. Only when Xuan Chen called out softly, "My lord, I think I know how to find the entrance to the Dragon Burial Mound," did he come back to himself.
He collected his emotions and looked up. "What's the method?"
"Sense it through your aura," Xuan Chen replied.
Bi Fan froze, then let out a wry laugh. "How do I sense it? Do I focus on this wall, or somewhere else?"
Xuan Chen pointed to the traces left by the red blood on the wall and nodded. "Yes, this wall. The blood on it is the key to the entrance's seal. If your aura can earn its recognition, the entrance may appear on its own."
Bi Fan considered it for a moment. It did seem like a possibility.
He nodded and said with a bitter smile, "I'll give it a try. If it works, that'll be for the best. If not, I'm afraid we'll have to go home empty-handed."
Xuan Chen nodded silently, though his eyes held a fair amount of confidence. From what he knew of his people, this had to be the only way to open the entrance to the Dragon Burial Mound.
Bi Fan sat cross-legged on the ground and slowly directed his aura toward the wall. Before long, he sensed a force pushing back against him.
The discovery made his heart leap with joy. The rejection was good news—it meant Xuan Chen's guess was probably right!
He immediately released the unique Original Body Qi of the dragon race, then stopped suppressing the auras of the two dragon-race Inner Cores within him. At that moment, he released everything he possessed that was connected to the dragons.
