The Battle Against Two Beasts
Bi Fan stood where he was, working to steady his breathing and restore his condition. He needed to use as little spiritual power as possible against each Wild Spirit Beast that appeared, so his teammates would have an easier time.
He had expected the Mystic Crystal Giant Bear to lose, but that didn't let him breathe easy. This wasn't his only opponent. The Dark Magic Wolf standing off to the side, at least, still hadn't made a move against him.
As he looked into those ghostly green eyes, his unease only deepened. His instincts told him this Wild Spirit Beast would be even more troublesome than the Mystic Crystal Giant Bear.
The Dark Magic Wolf sauntered out of the darkness, one measured step at a time. Dark streams of light seemed to ripple across its slightly raised head.
Bi Fan narrowed his eyes. He planned to test the strength of this unknown opponent with a preemptive strike. He raised his hand slightly, and a dazzling golden light slowly appeared at his fingertip.
The Dark Magic Wolf's eyes flickered eerily, narrowed with wariness. As a Spirit Lord Realm cultivator, it could sense the spiritual pressure radiating from the light and knew how terrifying the power within this Golden Light was.
Not daring to let its guard down, it stepped forward and threw back its head with a howl. The sound seemed to carry a power that could shake the mind, making Bi Fan's eyes brighten. A subtle smile tugged at his lips. "Could this Dark Magic Wolf be a Wild Spirit Beast that specializes in cultivating Soul Power? Heh. Today, you've met your match!"
