Getting a Room

Xu Wen's mouth twitched. If they waited any longer, she wouldn't be able to get back.

Mu Changsheng watched Xu Wen's embarrassed expression, amusement in his eyes.

Blushing, Xu Wen said, "I don't mind..."

Mu Changsheng pretended to be stunned. "What if Hao Ning misunderstands?"

"Thinks the two of us are sneaking around behind his back..."

"Oh, he won't. He won't... see us."

Xu Wen sounded a little anxious as she spoke, her face flushed.

"Don't tell him... and he won't know."

Mu Changsheng smiled faintly. "All right, get on."

A teasing smile curled at Mu Changsheng's lips as he accelerated away. When they reached a speed bump ahead, he suddenly squeezed the brake, pitching forward and sending Xu Wen sprawled completely against his back.

In her panic, Xu Wen tightly wrapped her arms around Mu Changsheng's waist.

"Sorry. There was a speed bump. It was too dark, so I didn't see it."

Mu Changsheng apologized.

Xu Wen blushed. It was the height of summer, and both of them were lightly dressed. Mu Changsheng especially wore only a T-shirt. With her arms around his waist, Xu Wen could clearly feel his physique.

With that, Mu Changsheng got off the bike and prepared to park it.

Xu Wen immediately panicked. Climbing over a wall—how was a girl like her supposed to do that?

In her anxiety, Xu Wen grabbed Mu Changsheng's sleeve.

Mu Changsheng frowned. "What are you doing?"

Xu Wen found it hard to say. Turning her head away, she murmured, "You have to think of a way to get me in too..."

Mu Changsheng raised a brow. "We're neither related nor close. We barely know each other, and I'm not the dean. How am I supposed to get you inside?"

"Climbing the wall is my only option."

"Let go."

Xu Wen shook her head. "No. You have to take me in too."

Mu Changsheng was almost angered into laughter as he looked at Xu Wen. "You're not my girlfriend. Don't you have a boyfriend? Go find him."

Xu Wen frowned. If she went to see him at this hour, they would definitely get a hotel room. And once they got a room, wouldn't that mean she'd get eaten?

She hadn't even gotten the bag yet. She couldn't let herself get eaten. Xu Wen shook her head.

Mu Changsheng helplessly covered his forehead. "Then what do you suggest?"

"I carry you while you climb over?"

Xu Wen lowered her head and glanced at her bodycon skirt. "Th-then... how would you carry me?"

Mu Changsheng looked down at her pale, bare thighs, and his mouth twitched. "This won't work, that won't work. So what exactly are we supposed to do?"

"I'm seriously speechless."

Xu Wen looked at Mu Changsheng resentfully. "Is it really such a hardship to help a beautiful woman like me?"

Mu Changsheng nodded without hesitation. "It's the middle of the night. I'm not sleeping, I brought you all the way back, didn't even charge you a ride fee, saved you some money, and now I have to help you climb a wall too. If I'm not the one suffering here, then who is?"

Xu Wen froze, unable to find anything to say in rebuttal.

Xu Wen snorted coldly. "Anyway, that won't do."

Mu Changsheng's eyes flickered as he turned the electric bike around. "Get on."

Xu Wen froze. "What are you doing?"

"Getting a room."

Mu Changsheng said it abruptly.

Xu Wen was instantly startled. "Getting... a room?"

Mu Changsheng nodded. "Didn't you say you don't want to climb over? Then there's only one way now: get a room."

Xu Wen paused. That did seem to be true...

Nervously, Xu Wen got on the electric bike, and Mu Changsheng took her back to Shangting Hotel.

Mu Changsheng frowned. "Getting a room."

"You're getting a room here?"

Xu Wen pointed at Shangting Hotel, sounding uncertain.

Mu Changsheng ignored Xu Wen and walked straight inside. Seeing that he was ignoring her, Xu Wen stamped her foot angrily. "We'll see how you embarrass yourself later."

"Hey, Mu Changsheng, a night here costs over a thousand. It's not too late to turn back now."

Xu Wen said anxiously.

Dong Jing watched Mu Changsheng's departing figure and picked up her phone to accept the payment, but when she saw the message attached to it, she froze.

"Come to my room later."

Dong Jing's face immediately turned red. Two women...?
