Samui: The Little Brat Cares About His Big Sister-All Those Years Raising Him Weren't for Nothing
After Neji left, Yozuki A looked at Yugito and asked eagerly, "Yugito, how did the mission go?"
Yugito took the bloodstained bedsheet out of her Ninja Tool Pouch and handed it to Fourth Raikage A.
"Good, good!"
Fourth Raikage A was overjoyed. "You did well. Take a few days to rest."
Yugito left the office without expression.
Once she had walked out of the Raikage Building, a look of disappointment suddenly crossed her face.
Neji received far too much favoritism.
In Fourth Raikage A's eyes, her standing as a Two-Tails Jinchuriki was clearly not as high as Neji's.
Yugito took a deep breath and steadied herself. "Lord Raikage, I won't let you down."
Meanwhile.
Neji left the Raikage Building. As he passed an empty alley, his body suddenly went rigid when someone hugged him from behind.
He was about to lash out when he heard a familiar female voice.
"Neji, it's me."
Samui wrapped both arms around Neji. Feeling his muscles tense up in an instant, she hurriedly spoke.
If she'd been a moment slower, she might have been electrocuted on the spot.
Samui had already been unable to handle Neji for half a year.
Starting that day, she'd doubled her daily training.
"Big Sister?!"
"Who else would it be?"
Hearing that, Neji took one of Samui's hands and leaned back against her.
The familiar sensation.
So soft and fragrant.
Samui's generous curves made him want to sink into her warm embrace.
"Big Sister, after I reported on the mission, I was going to come find you. Are you excited? Surprised? Happy?"
Truthfully, he'd planned to get Kana and her mother settled first, then head home.
But only a fool would tell the truth at a time like this.
Neji wished he could be in two places at once.
"At least you've got a conscience."
Samui turned Neji around to face her. Looking at the face she hadn't seen in so long, she instinctively reached out and pinched his cheek.
The soft, squishy feel lifted her mood.
Sure enough, being with Neji made her happiest.
But when she remembered how badly she'd failed the jōnin exam a while back, a shadow passed over her eyes.
Fourth Raikage A had said she could become a jōnin after another two or three years of honing her skills.
Becoming a jōnin before turning twenty was an impressive achievement in any village.
But Samui understood that she'd probably go no further than jōnin.
Neji's future was boundless, and she was destined not to stay by his side.
In all of Kumogakure, perhaps only Yugito could keep pace with Neji.
Of course, she wasn't jealous of Yugito.
After all, they were best friends.
She was envious.
Suddenly, Samui's body tensed slightly.
The warm breath from Neji's every exhale stirred her.
She'd raised Neji for two years and was used to it by now.
It just felt a little different today.
"Let's talk when we get home."
Samui's expression turned cool. She gently pushed Neji away. "We're out in broad daylight. Have some decorum."
She was a little afraid someone she knew might see them.
Over the past two months, she'd made up her mind to stay by Neji's side in a different way.
But their age difference was still an issue.
She couldn't rush things.
Before Neji could react, Samui let go of his hand and walked ahead.
Samui wore red high heels. As she moved with light steps, her hips swayed, making her figure all the more graceful and alluring.
"Wait for me."
Neji took a deep breath and hurried after her, naturally taking her fair, soft right hand.
When they got home, Samui let go of Neji's hand and sat on the sofa, rubbing her shoulders.
They'd only walked a short distance, yet her shoulders already felt terribly sore.
She often suffered from this problem, though it was not something she could discuss with others.
Seeing this, Neji poured her a cup of hot water.
Samui took a small sip, then reclined on the sofa. "Neji, how about giving your big sister a massage?"
"?"
Neji's eyes widened.
What was this? His aloof big sister was actually asking for something like that.
What a contrast!
"Don't want to?"
Samui took off her jacket, revealing a sleeveless top. Her smooth, snow-white skin drew the eye.
Her reasoning was simple.
She'd raised Neji for two years. Having him wait on her was only fair.
"Of course I do."
Neji immediately kicked off his shoes and climbed onto the sofa. "Big Sister, just tell me what you need. If I can do it, I'll do it. If I can't, I'll find someone who can."
The little brat sure knew how to talk!
"Check out my newly invented electric massage technique."
The great masseur Neji wrapped his hands in a faint layer of electricity and gently pressed them against Samui's smooth shoulders.
"Hiss!"
Samui sucked in a breath and tensed instinctively.
Once she gradually got used to the electric stimulation, the tingling sensation in her shoulders made her go limp. It felt indescribably good.
Who knew where the little brat had picked up this new trick?
After nearly half an hour, Neji glanced at Samui, who was so relaxed she was about to fall asleep, and tentatively asked, "Big Sister, would you like a foot massage?"
"Better not."
Samui waved a hand. "I've been walking all day. They're dirty."
Neji had been waiting for her to say that. He hurriedly offered, "Then I'll heat some water for you to wash your feet."
Before Samui could reply, Neji dashed into the kitchen to heat some water.
Samui had meant to say there was no need, but seeing how enthusiastic Neji was, she couldn't bring herself to refuse.
A warm feeling rose in her heart.
The little brat had gone with Yugito, but he still cared about her, his big sister. He knew how to look after someone.
Those two years of raising him hadn't been for nothing.
Konoha, Root base.
As a council elder and the head of Root, Danzo had to deal with intelligence from all kinds of sources every day.
He sorted through it all to find what was beneficial to himself—no, beneficial to the village.
Until the day he died, Danzo believed that everything he did was for Konoha.
"Hiruzen Sarutobi is promoting the Will of Fire at the Ninja Academy..."
Danzo snorted, his expression turning grim.
"Monkey isn't the same monkey he used to be. He's always meddling in this and that. What good is the Will of Fire...? Should I copy Monkey and go to the Ninja Academy to promote the Will of Darkness, encouraging the children to become roots who protect Konoha from the shadows?
"Never mind. Mediocrities aren't qualified to join Root. It's easier to pick talented ninja from the major clans."
He unrolled the scroll and kept reading. The further he got, the darker his expression became.
It was either speeches or spying on the women's bathhouse...
The latter was especially bad. He was old enough to know better, yet he spent all day spying on the women's bathhouse. He'd disgraced the Hokage's reputation.
He could at least pay someone to do that. It wouldn't cost much. He could even enjoy himself.
Danzo felt embarrassed on Hiruzen Sarutobi's behalf.
Intelligence like this was worthless. It only got on Danzo's nerves.
But if he wanted to uncover dirt on Hiruzen Sarutobi and bring him down, Danzo had to keep people watching him.
Danzo finished reading the intelligence on Hiruzen Sarutobi, then tossed it into the trash.
He took out the second report.
"Uchiha Itachi completed a B-Rank Mission on his own. He may have awakened the Three-Tomoe Sharingan..."
