Ch. 1Sword of Promised Victory

On Awakening Day, Su Qiu underwent a private Martial Soul awakening at the Eastsea City Spirit Pagoda, hoping to avoid inheriting a dragon-type Martial Soul. He awakened the Sword of Promised Victory, a powerful Holy Sword, and resolved to cultivate it for the dangers ahead.

  • Su Wuyan teased Su Qiu before taking him to a private awakening room in the Spirit Pagoda.
  • Su Wuyan explained that Su Qiu might awaken the Holy Angel, Bright Holy Dragon, or his own Bright Dragon Sparrow, while Su Qiu hoped for the Holy Angel.
  • Su Wuyan began the awakening ceremony, which produced a dazzling golden pillar of light that astonished the crowds outside.
  • Su Qiu grasped the sword that appeared and recognized it as the Sword of Promised Victory.
  • Su Qiu learned the Holy Sword was currently sealed as a Martial Soul and decided to cultivate it to face future threats.

Ch. 2Shining Spear of the End

Su Qiu revealed two unprecedented, powerful Fate Martial Souls and extraordinary test results to his uncle, Su Wuyan. Convinced Su Qiu could surpass Yun Ming, Su Wuyan resolved to raise him into a champion who would hunt Evil Soul Masters.

  • Su Wuyan sensed that Su Qiu's Sword of Promised Victory possessed both Extreme Light and Extreme Destruction, then learned it could also be called the Holy Sword.
  • Su Qiu summoned his second Martial Soul, the Holy Spear Rungonimiyade, and Su Wuyan found no related Martial Souls in their family records.
  • Su Wuyan tested Su Qiu and discovered he had Innate Full Soul Power, Mental Power of 333, and the body strength of a Level 31 Soul Elder.
  • Su Wuyan declared that Su Qiu must kill Evil Soul Masters to avenge his parents and decided to raise him to become the continent's strongest expert.
  • Su Qiu promised to become the nemesis of Evil Soul Masters.

Ch. 3Unyielding Soul Spirit

Su Qiu considered which Soul Spirit to choose and decided to seek an Unyielding Soul Spirit rather than prioritize a powerful Soul Skill. He chose a Rending Sky Screaming Vulture, and Su Wuyan agreed to help him obtain it.

  • Su Wuyan took Su Qiu to choose a Soul Spirit and told a Spirit Pagoda staff member that the earlier pillar of light had been caused by his breakthrough.
  • Su Wuyan warned Su Qiu that Qian Gu Dong Feng suppressed overly talented people and said the Spirit Pagoda's efforts against Evil Soul Masters had weakened.
  • Su Qiu decided to cultivate the Sword of Promised Victory first and look for an enhancement-type Soul Skill.
  • Su Qiu rejected a Star Brilliance Wolf, a White Armored Mountain Dragon, and a Titan Giant Ape, then asked Su Wuyan for an Unyielding Soul Spirit.
  • Su Wuyan showed Su Qiu a twelve-hundred-year Rending Sky Screaming Vulture, and Su Qiu chose it.

Ch. 4Soul Power Release

Su Qiu formed a Soul Spirit Contract with the Rending Sky Screaming Vulture, breaking through to level 14 and gaining the Soul Skill Soul Power Release. Testing his abilities with Su Wuyan, he also revealed that his Holy Spear had independently formed a Soul Ring granting Wind Element Control, and he could use both Martial Souls’ skills at once.

  • Su Qiu connected with the Rending Sky Screaming Vulture and persuaded it to become his Soul Spirit by revealing the power of the Sword of Promised Victory and the Holy Spear.

  • Su Qiu discovered that his first Soul Skill, Soul Power Release, could double all his attributes or strengthen his weapons, though it consumed Soul Power quickly.
  • Su Wuyan asked Su Qiu to attack him, and Su Qiu used Soul Power Release to deliver a sword strike that Su Wuyan said could defeat most Soul Elders.
  • Su Qiu summoned the Holy Spear and showed Su Wuyan its self-condensed Green Soul Ring and Wind Element Control; he then realized he could use skills from both Martial Souls at the same time.

Mu Chen recognized his extraordinary blacksmithing talent and accepted him as a disciple, while Mu Xi was devastated after seeing him surpass her.

  • Mu Chen took Su Qiu to the Forge Room and gave him a heavy hammer to test his strength.
  • Su Qiu lifted the hammer easily and struck Deep Silver, at first hammering without technique.

  • Na'er stood for her introduction, looking down nervously and twisting the corners of her clothes.

Ch. 9Leng Yaozhu

Su Qiu adjusted to life with Na'er as his classmate while balancing school, cultivation, forging, and brutal training. Three months later, Leng Yaozhu revealed that she had taken Na'er as her disciple and confronted Su Wuyan about hiding Su Qiu's extraordinary talent before deciding to meet him.

  • Su Qiu caught Na'er trying to touch his hair in class and told her to pay attention, while she struggled to escape her classmates after the lesson to follow him.
  • Su Qiu spent the next three months attending school, raising Na'er's favorability, learning forging from Mu Chen, and enduring Old Man's training.
