A Rival in Love Appeared Out of Nowhere
After Wang Yue had carefully prepared a candlelit dinner, the two of them finally ended up in bed together. At that point, Wang Yue didn't want to invite any trouble, so he decided that once she graduated, they would get their marriage certificates.
Momo agreed, of course. She felt that without Wang Yue's constant, quiet support all these years, she might not have enjoyed the good life she had now, much less felt so secure. She had long wanted to marry him, so whatever Wang Yue said was fine with her.
The day after they took their relationship to the next level, Wang Yue thought they ought to celebrate somehow, so he planned to take her out for Western food.
It wasn't that Wang Yue was especially interested in Western food. If it were up to him, he'd rather have barbecue.
It was just that this era was strange. It seemed as if only Western food counted as high-class, so he decided to go along with the trend and take Momo to see what it was like. That way, if her coworkers asked her about it, she wouldn't have to admit she didn't know what Western food was like.
But when he waited for her to get off work, he saw several of her coworkers from the hospital leaving with Shen Mo.
Noticing Wang Yue's confusion, Momo quickly explained, "They heard we'd set a date for the wedding and wanted to celebrate with us. I couldn't really turn them down. Please don't be mad, okay?"
Wang Yue reached out and ruffled Momo's hair, then quickly reassured her. "What would I be mad about? As long as you're happy, that's all that matters."
