The cashier and the few security guards grew anxious when they saw that Wang Yue had actually paid.
They had received orders from General Manager Ge to keep Wang Yue and Shen Mo there. Of course, they couldn't just let them leave.
But Wang Yue didn't get nearly as angry as they'd expected over their almost unreasonable demands, nor did he pick a fight with them.
They didn't dare take advantage of him in the lobby and then forcibly stop him from leaving. They had no leg to stand on, and if they persisted, they would cause trouble for Victoria.
So when Wang Yue walked out of Victoria's main entrance, protectively carrying something, they all looked at one another. None of them said a word, each hoping someone else would step up.
Only after Wang Yue and Shen Mo had already left did the guards panic. One of them, their leader, hurried after them, trying to stop them.
But by then, the second group of security personnel Wang Yue had arranged had received the message and quickly come out of the private room. As if by coincidence, they blocked the guards from Wang Yue, keeping Victoria's security from getting close to him.
After Wang Yue got on his bicycle and rode a long way with Shen Mo, she suddenly spoke. "A Yue, don't do anything rash. These petty people aren't worth putting yourself at risk for."
Wang Yue never underestimated the power of petty people. Plenty of despicable little nobodies were even more brazen than sinister big shots.
So, based on what he'd learned from traveling through so many worlds, the way to deal with people like this was to crush them until they couldn't take it anymore, stripping them of any ability to provoke him. That was the best
