After sitting down, Lu Tao first asked how she was feeling, then went straight to the point.
"Mom, how is Old Xu doing now?"
Seeing him ask that, Lin Wanfen immediately asked warily, "Why are you suddenly asking about your dad?"
Lu Tao noticed how guarded his mother was, so he shook his head and said, "Mom, I was just thinking that even though Xu Zhishen wronged Old Lu, he's still treated me pretty well. So I thought I'd thank him."
Lin Wanfen was delighted to hear that, and she smiled as she said,
"All right, your dad was only doing what he should. Don't worry about it so much."
Lu Tao sighed. "It's only after looking for work for so long that I realized how smoothly things went for me after graduation. It was all thanks to my teacher, Old Lu, and my dad. I was too young to understand."
Seeing how sincere Lu Tao sounded, Lin Wanfen hesitated for a moment, then smiled and said,
